In my time supporting, my 3 favourites would be
1) Steve Clarke; 2) Slaven Billic 3) Carlos

Worst in terms of football and the clubs image;
1) Pulis  2) Gould 3) tie Talbot/Little

Based purely on entertainment, my choices would be Atkinson, Ardiles and Mowbray.

Difficult sometimes to pinpoint best manager. We've had crackers in Giles, Atkinson and  Hodgson but they had the relative luxury of stunning squads.

We may yet hold CC aloft with what he has at his disposal.

Worst manager for me ever - and it's some roll call - is Steve Bruce. Relegation naild on with him.

Worst owner is precisely why we are where we are now. Lai a clear winner. I'm hoping our best is just around the corner.... or maybe the next corner.

It's crazy because he was on a podcast a few months back and was basically blaming it on bad luck with us. The cheek of it.

Tough to define 'best'. I'll stick to the ones that I've enjoyed watching us most under:
Atkinson (1st stint)
Mowbray
Di Matteo

And as for the worst - that's even harder AS there has been some real dross. I'll plug for:
Talbot
Buckley
Pardew

Best Chairman:
Paul Thompson for steering us from the edge of a financial abyss and ending 16 years in the wilderness

Worst Chairman:
Guochan Lai for sending us back there...

Pepe Mel? He won 3 games out of 17. He had good ideas but I don’t remember any decent football. He has hardly pulled up trees after he left us either so I really don’t see it

I’ll reconsider my worst 3 now as :
Gould
Pardew
Bruce

In order that they served their time here . All equally a disaster with us .

Best 3 in my lifetime

Ardiles
Megson
Hodgson

Worst 3

Talbot
Gould
Little

If CC can get us into the play offs this season it will be some sort of miracle.  Roll on Blackburn.

:D what about the chicken farmer Alan Ashman as one of our best… was manager when we won our last trophy FA Cup 1968?? Also Meggo and Hodgson for me with Giles in the mix.
Worst Pardew, Gould and Howe.

Best manager Johnny Giles
guided us from league 2 to top table in division one
Ron Atkinson before he became big fat Ron played scintillating football
Ossie Ardiles not only for his brand of attacking football but you score three we will score five and the start of club coming back from abyss.

Worst
Pardew or clueless enough said
Bruce the cabbage patch doll
Gould dropping us into Third division.

Irvine wasn't great but we massively failed him in the transfer market with arguably the worst window the club has had in the last 20 years (and that's saying something), and at least we were still out the relegation zone upon getting rid of him. Also deserves some credit for transforming Berahino into the player he briefly threatened to be.
