The players thought they were on a hiding to nothing and some didn't even bother.
Can anybody tell me what Morrison did in the game?
Olson is only a championship player.
Baird was like a rabbit in the headlights.
Lescott was out of position too may times.

If the writing wasn't already on the wall before the game, it certainly was after 89 seconds.

We've only got ourselves to blame, but with home matches against QPR and Leicester to come, there's no bones broken today short term.

Longer term, however, there are too lessons from today.

Berahino will certainly want away. As a young lad trying to make a name for himself it must be hugely frustrating to try and do it as a lone striker with no support whatsoever. If I was him, I'd be asking myself what I was doing at the Hawthorns anymore.

And Jonas must surely have played his last game for us. A great servant to the club, but his legs have gone.

Olsson moved to centre back after his performance upfront against Stoke last week!? That's why we lost this game.

Pulis out!

Conceded three very poor goals.

We are masters of our own downfall. Three preventable goals and a preventable red card too.

Boaz Myhill was MOTM. Absolutely superb.

I'm sure that counts as a good defensive workout ;D
But only 7% of all shots against us being goals? That's well better than average in the league. :P
The goals were all real mistakes, mind you. At least this game was a write off from the start in the first place~
We'll see what happens re:Dawson/McAuley.

Winning at home it is, then.. :-X

Does that include blocked shots on the edge of the area?

No point getting down about it. The game was effectively over after 90 seconds. Awful refereeing. Didn't think Dawson should have gone either. Silver linings in that I imagine it'll be overturned so both will be available. Just feel for those who traveled up there. Keep the faith and COYB

Disagree about Saido. After we went down to 10 he was never going to get great service. Removing the selfish perspective, I think it would be better for the lad's career to stay with us another 2-3 seasons. He can play week in week out rather than rotting on the bench. Then if he's good enough / we haven't progressed sufficiently to keep him he should move on.

Disagree. The game was over before those 90 seconds started. This game was never about competing.

Don't know how you can say that. It was unlikely we'd get anything up there to start with and our hope (as with the great majority of teams playing away there) was to keep it tight, defend well and then see if we could get anything on the break / from set plays. If you go there and play open football more likely than not you will get stuffed because ,quelle f***ing surprise, they've got better players.

Are you being incredibly humourous??? Would love to know who you think is better to dig us out of the 5#1T.

Myhill unquestionably MOTM. Played a blinder, boyo.

Myhill MOTM for me but Saido never stopped trying when the ball came up to the half way line. Ollson was pretty poor for me and can understand why Pulis sticks with Lescott and McCauley

Our away form has to change, if we are good enough at home then we can at least try away. I haven't seem any heart in our aways since pulis took over and I'm fed up of always trying to get 0-0. I know city were always going to run us ragged but to lose with them having so much of the ball is disappointing.
