Kinell have you seen the second goal schoolboy defending and that's an insult to kids.

I remember pre-season Dr X saying Ian Holloway was an awful pundit for predicting them to finish 20th...I wonder what he's thinking now?

Watched the game tonight.....neither team looked particularly good IMO. One thing that stood out for me was their work ethic, or lack of it. In particular Lansbury is extremely lazy and tends to just 'shuffle' into positions rather than show enough desire to force the play and find threatening areas of space. Hutton is their most enthusiastic player and seems to be the only one with any REAL fight. If they lose to Derby at home, I do see a team that may face a real dog-fight. Only problem is (bar Hutton), they all have mussels on!

I am genuinely suprised how poor they are. Worst then last year which is surprising due to the changes the club has made and the investment. The only reason they won't get relegated this year is due to 3 worst teams.

There's a real cancer at the club.

Hey guys,i think that only Rotherham are a worse team than Villa.
Villa have only won one more match than Wigan or Blackburn all season.
Wolves have only to draw their game in hand and Villa will drop to 18th.
Should Villa lose a couple more(Derby) up next, and the teams below pick up points then we will see what character and backbone their players have, not much I suspect.
I can see them being relegated, someone told me that they still have to play the top six teams,we shall see,not too many games left, time is running out for them.
Even Brucie said last night that he hadn't been in this position before,so he's also struggling a bit like the gum chewer at Palace, their times have arrived.

From a Villa fan on Facebook......

Just found out it didn't end well either and not just the result. David & Harry finally got back just after 5 from their North East tour and here's why.
All of the coaches got lost because the motorway was shut, then they had to wait at a service station for 45 mins to change drivers, when finally they got back to villa Park at 3:45

I noticed at the time (and this has been mentioned on VT) that Darlow the NU keeper kicked the ball out immediately after the injury & despite the guy looking in a lot of pain only Hutton came over to see if he was okay and that was after he'd been down a couple of mins. Obviously no team spirit and imo just a bunch of expensive individuals chucked together!

Current form guides seem to back your claim  ;D Villa second from bottom - long may this continue ;D ;D ;D

If you look a bit further than the last 6 games, their form is awful too. Their last win was against Burton on boxing day, since then it's DLLDLLLLL and an extra loss in the cup

Interestingly, their next 6 games are crucial for them.
Derby in 11th place at home,bristol city 21st home,rotheram 24th away,huddersfield 3rd away,sheff wed 6th home and Wigan away.
That leaves 8 games left.
Then we will see where they are, hopefully bottom three.

If Villa lose the next match and forest wolves and Burton win then villa would drop to 20th!
And of course if the bottom four get anything the points gap closes dramatically, then it's game on.
