Foul on Mitrovic easily one of the worse instances of VAR not being used. Makes the fouls on Kane in the box actually look legal.

Was as if he'd was a wide reciever sandwich between two defensive ends!  :o

I was out last night and only caught snippets of the game on a screen.

Saw the incident this morning and couldn't believe it wasn't given as a penalty.

Scandalous.

I could've crushed a grape if I were a Serbian and gave a sh it  ;D .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

Belgium taken Tunisia apart. Tunisia had some gusto after their goal but Lukaku's 2nd on the stroke of HT could make this a very interesting second half. Could get messy.

Belgians with an extra day recovery ahead of the England game too which could be crucial.

Chadli about to come on.

When was the last time one of our players lifted a world cup?

Tunisia gave up second half. Batsuyai could've had about six and he was only on about 20 mins. Impressive Belgium though.

Another penalty incident which should have gone to VAR has just been ignored by the ref in the Germany v Sweden game.

Wouldn't be surprised if the ref's have had orders from above to chill out on the VAR after quite a few VAR incidents early in the tournament. It's getting ridiculous now.

We've seen very soft penalties given (when people have been technically slightly touched), then the likes of Mitrovic and Kane getting obviously wrestled down to the ground, and getting nothing.

I like the concept of VAR and I think it started off OK in the tournament. Somethings happened though and it's getting pathetic now. Either have it and use it every time it is required, or don't use it at all. Can't have certain VAR panels and/or ref's deciding to use it and others dismissing incidents out of hand before getting them reviewed.

Makes a mockery of its entire conception and existence.

The thing with VAR is it is just being used too poorly. They have decided on how they want to use it, penalties etc. so happy days. Now align those with the way rugby implements technology and it's all good. It hasn't been a disaster but it could have been used a lot better.

Germany going out with 45 mins to go.

Germany are too slow. Their players are standing around waiting for the ball. They have to learn to RUN onto a ball which is going forwards, not sidewards nor backwards ala Pulis.

Reckon so.
Sweden stopped playing football and resorted to hoof and hope from the back.
Their players had to run almost the length of the pitch to even see the ball.
Note to Big Dave....Pass the ball forward and make the opposition chase us, rather than the other way around.
Also ....If their players have the ball...Stand in front of them and stop them having a choice of passes.
We have to learn to use speed, rather than walk and stop, which a lot of world cup teams are trying to do.

Glad Germany won.

Will never wish for Pulis style anti football to be 'successful'. Especially at the world cup.

Agreed. I hate teams like Sweden they wreck the enjoyment of football.

Say what you like but I can't stand the Jerries.

They get raggy wins all the time, scrape through and lift trophies.

And they score their penalties too.

They do tend to get the rub of the green more often than other countries. Should’ve conceded a penalty and been a man down in the first half. Found it hard to believe the ref had to think about Boateng’s second yellow as well.

Speed has been the difference...Just like the Prem last season...Albion were slow and sluggish and were relegated.
