Just below us.
They are at home.
Pulis will tell our players to pass the ball back towards our penalty area and then hoof, and hope one of our players may (repeat may) fortunately run onto it.
We shall invite them to hover around our penalty area ala Pulis.

I'm inclined to agree, but feel we may lose this as Southampton need to up their game at home.

2-1 Southampton

Gabbiadini & Lemina / HRK off the bench

Referee: Graham Scott
Assistant Referee: Richard West
Assistant Referee:  Mark Scholes

We've been reffed by Graham Scott 3 times 3-1 win at home to Watford and 3-0 defeat away at Evertom last season and the 2-2 home draw with Bristol City in FA Cup in 15/16.

Given both teams are struggling to score it wouldn't surprise me if this turns out to be a 4-3 thriller.

.....I won't comment if I mean goals or shots on target.

I think it'd be a big mistake to sit back in this one and let Southampton dictate terms all day. TP probably won't do it but I'd start a 4-4-2.

GK
(Myhill/Palmer?)

Nyom/Dawson/Evans/Gibbs

Phillips/Krychowiak/Barry/Chadli

Rodriguez/Rondon

To be fair Soton play a lot like Leicester and us (to a lesser degree) by sitting back and trying to hit on the counter attack; they struggle when teams do the same so sitting back is arguably the best tactic in this case. To be fair it's a pretty moot point though as we will set up to play like that regardless.

We need Phillips back in and possibly McClean as we need pace in the side to be more effective on the counter, I'd play Chadli just behind the striker whether that's Rondon or Rodriguez.

I'd be tempted to go for 4:2:3:1 or 4-1-4-1

                                              Myhill
       Nyom             Dawson                       Evans              Gibbs

                                    Barry                  Krychowiak

         Phillips                                                                     McClean

                                            Chadli
                                                            Rondon

Subs: Palmer, McAuley, Hegazi, Yacob, Livermore, Brunt, Rodriguez.

If Myhill's out, he'll have to play Palmer.

Would this be an EPL debut for Palmer?

Sorry, I don't know much about him.

Saw Palmer warming up on Monday. Had to do a double take; thought we had Frazer Forster on the bench!

Yes it would be his EPl debut, he is very inexperienced and has only played first team football on loan at Kidderminster Harriers in the National league where he played 11 times.

What could possibly go wrong........

Actually, I hope he does start and plays a blinder - he is clearly the future and needs encouragement..............

Don't know but blocks 47 and 48 have sold out; there are 71 seats available in Block 46  and blocks 44 and 45 haven't been activated yet by the look of things.

Fair play to Soton for making the ticket £20 too.

I agree with the sentiment but his lack of experience is a worry, I'd be less worried if he had played in either league 1 or 2, but 11 games isn't a huge amount of experience.
I'd like him to get more game experience in the lower leagues rather than risking him in a Pl clash where we really need at least a point, but he might well play a blinder and turn out to be the next Jordan Pickford!
If Myhill and Foster are injured we don't really have an option though!

Can we send TP in to keep?  ;D

He might get a bit tuckered out with all the back passes!
