Wow.

How on earth do we improve on last season with this squad  :o ;D

It's the same squad but we won't be seeing Gardner Olsson or Fletcher dragging it down. If we could get rid of Dawson. We'd have a team that is comfortable on the ball.

We don't have the depth to sustain 9th in the league in my opinion. Few injuries and all we have is kids.

Agree on Dawson. Tat

My pessimism on Everton is based on a number of things despite the money they have spent they don't have a better squad than any of the top 6. There has been a huge turnover of players and that in itself can be a drag while they gel. I don't think Koeman is quite as good as some might believe and certainly not better than any coach in the top 6. They have Europa League football which will disrupt the squad for it to gel they need to put out the same XI across the first few weeks of the season Koeman won't have that luxury. Some of the business they have done is actually quite bad.

12-13th for us

We are no better than last season and anyone with a modicum of sense realises that if we don't finish in Europe there's very little difference between finishing 8th and 15th.

If we'd finished 8th last season as we were close to doing bar our absolute implosion after reaching 40 points, we'd have earnt a whopping £5m extra, TOTAL. That's a quarter of a player nowadays.

Pretty much every prediction has us solid mid table. Our 1st XI is better than it was last season. Our kids are a year older. A couple of cute additions to bolster the squad will be "enough". A couple of immediate 1st XI players would be a fantastic window.
