Albion Alumni thread
« on: August 15, 2015, 10:24:19 PM »
Inspired by the threads this summer about Albion youth players progress after they leave us, and the fact that there is no where to report on their progress on here, I thought I would create this thread.

To start it off, Keemar Roofe scored his second 20+ yard goal in a week today for Oxford. Things seem to be going very well for him.Have any others scored this week?

Although he never played a competitive game for us, Canadian striker Marcus Haber is currently at Crewe.

He scored against Tony Mowbray's Coventry City in their 3-2 encounter at the Ricoh on Tuesday, taking his current total to 8 in 39 games for them.

Coventry are currently sitting top of League One with maximum points from three games.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Another great goal from Kemar Roofe for Oxford.

Sponsored him during his loan spell there last season, was hoping to carry on after I was told I had first refusal for this year only for Oxford to then backtrack on it and say they preferred to deal with a "local" company (roughly translated as we have had an offer above our regular advertising rates  ::) )

Just seen that Kemar Roofe goal - unbeliveable strike.

Appleton has pulled off a massive coup signing him. Surprised we haven't seen a few more of our academy products head that way.

It was 2-2.
Kiddy equalised at the death.
James Hurst gave away a late penalty.

El Ghanassy with an injury time winner for Oostende vs Club Brugge 1-0.  Don't make a point of watching Belgian football, but it's free.  As is Sheffield Wednesday vs the Vile in about 5 minutes.

I liked him at the baggies until he mouthed off a bit when he left for a bigger club, bet he's not laughing now, second division here you go,really only a div2 player.
Just thinking anyway,I know he's injured but he always was,not many players who leave us go on to do better do they.

Can't remember Billy Jones mouthing off - just chose the more lucrative longer term deal after running his contract down (which he's entitled to do).

He may well regret leaving but that's his business.
