Fixtures 2019/2020
« on: June 13, 2019, 09:08:19 AM »
Just noticed that the Dingles are away saturday 10th August when we start our season a week earlier.

think i am right, but does that mean we will be away first game of the season then so we are then at home on saturday 10th August?

We could potentially play on the sunday depending on who our game would be against. Might be one that Sky would want to show.

Isn’t it more likely we will be away from home when vile play at home?

Both us and Blues are normally the opposite to the villa.

we could also be the Friday fixture as the season potentially starts on 2nd August.

We will 100% be away first game with the Premierleague fixtures that have been released.

Only way we wont be is if there is a midweek game in the week following the first game.

We start a week earlier than PL I think? We will be away when Villa are at home and vice versa.

If Villa and Wolves are at home, Albion and Blues will be away. Walsall prefer to be at home when we're not, because their attendance goes up, but are mostly at home the same day as us.

So yeah, barring a midweek fixture between our opening day and the Premier:

Away first game, home second game.

Away boxing day

Home new years day

I don't know when our season ends. If it's a week before the premier league then we'll be away, but if it's two weeks before or the same weekend, then we'll be at home.

Yeah we do matches start on Friday 2nd.

Only a week to go until fixtures are released.

QPR last game of the season at home.
I was at QPR the last time we played on the final day of the season.
We lifted the trophy that day.
I just wonder??

I know every game is tough and no guaranteed results but on paper our final few games could be very difficult if we are chasing promotion.

April sees us play Hull, Derby, Blackburn, Fulham and Huddersfield.

Yeah thats a tough end of season run of matches that is

Its imperative that we build a good squad here as this season is going to be tough

We traditionally lose our first game.
Looking through the fixtures there isn't much there that frightens me...providing we have a strong squad.

Apart from when we got relegated with two opening wins. :(
Loolkng at flights. Presume low likelihood of Millwall first home game being moved. More likely  police moving it to early slot than Sky showing it

Think Luton on 17th Aug will get moved for Tv what with the Graham Jones connection. Maybe Fulham in September and Leeds & Charlton in October?

Gutted that I'm away for the opening day. Only live 10 minutes from the City Ground, and last year was a good atmosphere.
