Good start.

But I hope we don’t just sit back and defend the lead.

We need a second.

Last season, there would have been no doubt about that strategy

We’ve been doing it this season too mate. 1-0 leads have become 1-1 far too often.

But let’s hope we keep up the pressure.

Yeah a second and I'll be much happier. It's ours to lose now, we need to keep the ball. Hegazi with a knock apparently

Don’t think tha because we were deliberately defending, just no good at it with a back 3  :D

I’d prefer an injured Hegazi than a fully fit Bartley

Okay first half game is quite even.

Aside from a very good free kick for the goal Johansen needs to improve massively for me. Hopefully it's just lack of game time.

Rodriguez poor again.

Livermore looks a step down from Rekeem which is massive kudos to the 18 year old. Murphy very quiet, hopefully more to come.

Missed the first 10 mins but we have looked fairly solid (touchwood) hopefully get a chance to make it 2-0 on the counter

I'd have Harper on for Barry, his lack of pace has been very noticeable on a few occasions. we've caused ourselves more problems than stoke have, they ay laid a glove on us.
it's a poor stoke side this is.

We are ahead due to a very well crafted set piece goal otherwise we have made nothing. Stokes best chances come from us fannying about also.

Front 3 aren't in the game at all. Need to let Murphy have a run at his full back might even be worth switching wings with Gayle as that young kid at right back is on a yellow.

We will need a second goal as they can't be that bad the whole game a storm will come. I would give it another 15 minutes and take Rodriguez off either for hoolahan or for Montero

Come on you baggies results have gone well for us need to make it count

Holgate not taking up many advanced positions. Has he been told to stay back?

It draws their midfield out into our half and we can look to get it in behind them quickly with our front 3.

Absolutely spot on. Invites the high-press and therefore space. Then (if you have the right players) move the ball quickly through the middle and out to wing.

The keeper kicking long makes no sense as we do not have a target man, although rolling out from the back can have its downfall if the players are not switched on. Gareth Barry, I'm looking at you.

People asking for Barry to go off I’d say Livermore, been caught in possession a lot and is awful on the ball quite frankly
