Just read elsewhere that Manchester United are called Man Utd after it was a song sung by Albion fans about Duncan Edwards, has anyone ever heard this before ?

Remember reading something online a while back where the nickname was accredited to Albion. However the post itself (not an article or depiction of the whys and wheres) was more along the lines of a question rather than an explanation. From memory the link to us seemed tenuous at best.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

To be honest I think its bull, I asked the same on facebook last night and someone pointed out that in those days songs like this wouldn't have been heard, only links to it seem to be from Man Utd forums but nothing concrete at all
