I thought I heard boos too. I think fans booing a side sitting top of the league need to get a sense of perspective - seriously uncalled for.
I know it's not been brilliant. We are comfortably the better side but for the second game on the trot we aren't creating enough. The first 20 minutes seemed to have some promise and a bit more incisive play but as the game has gone on we have slipped in to the trap of every single attack looking the same. We can't keep putting in the same 50/50 cross and hoping we are going to find a man in space. Derby eventually knew what we were going to do and handled it very easily - this sort of game suits older heads like Davies and Jagielka.
If we can get the ball down and get in and around their ageing defence, we could cause them some trouble, but it will require more than out one dimensional attacking tactics.
If it continues as it is, I really hope we see Ismael show a tiny bit of tactical flexibility. I'm not asking for 4 at the back and 5 in midfield, but there is room within his system to improve our build up play. Another central midfielder is one option; Mulumby or Snodgrass both on the bench.
Derby aren't a great side, despite their one break away chance and short lived spell of possession. If we could just add a other dimension to our attacking play we will go 1 up. Not every goal has to be a header.
