Do people want me to add a poll for approximate finishing position?

Yeah that would be a good idea

Someone has put 22nd-24th

OK... I'll bite.

Can you please elaborate on your ideas.

Thank you

The second tier podcast has us winning the league, ahead of Fulham, Sheffield United and Bournemouth.

In short they rate Ismael more than Silva and they think that will be the difference, despite seemingly accepting Fulham have the strongest squad.

I see us promoted if we can get a CF who knows where the net is.

Playoffs but not promoted if we can't.

Feel we need a couple more additions to the jigsaw and then can compete top two

3 more signings of the right quality and we win the league.

Agree with that. One or two good signings and I think we will finish top 2, especially a centre forward.

Centre forward and another CM should be absolute priorities.

My thoughts exactly.

And extremely sad if we fail to make addition to give us the extra mile.

We seem to have this striker conversation every pre-season...

Think owners are taking a gamble spend nothing on transfer fees tie up senior pros on longer contracts which no other team wants, sell our best asset on the cheap and hope that Val gets us up in two seasons.

Well in a few hours time we will see where we are and what we need if we aim to be in the mix at the end of the season.

It’s a bit of an unknown entity this year. I was chuffed with Val after a strange few weeks running up to it.

I commented on here that due to the way the club appeared to be run I felt we’d be lucky to avoid relegation. That opinion has softened a bit but I still think we’re a few players short of where we need to be when compared to the other relegated teams.

My heart thinks we’ll push on and do the job but my head feels that our promotion/relegation can’t carry on for ever.

Also yesterday’s news of the contract extensions does scream out to me that the club have resigned themselves to not going up this season and/or hoping Val can find a rabbit in that hat and get us up. This also seems to be the case with our signings too.

I think if I was having a bet as it stands now I’d have us to finish outside the top 6 unfortunately.

Ask me again when the window has shut

Not the top 20 podcast also have us finishing 2nd with automatic promotion.

They do make the good point that the majority of Fulham’s side have a promotion under their belts, while something like 60% have 2 promotions. A good pedigree.

Friday is a must win - 6 pointer !!

But seriously
Karlan Grant will be the divisions top scorer,
Diangana will terrorise defences
Alex Mowatt will be pushing for an England call up
A rejuvenated Jake will dominate midfields with Mowatt running rampant alongside him
Johnstone will have record clean sheets and be Englands number 1 in the world cup winning side revered by all as the second Gordon Banks

Meanwhile Greasy is still recovering from twin medial ligament operations and likely to miss a second season
Dingles cataclysmic fall from grace and the Fosun directors prison sentences have made "that club" and its fans social pariahs through out the land

And best of all Guochan Lai has done one and left the club to the fans in a trust.

I love Diazapan !

A damn fine read.

I'm going for champions.

Didn’t see anything in Friday to change my mind unfortunately.

Think we’ll struggle to make the play offs. Poor at the back still and that needs sorting ASAP.

Nope. Squad not good enough to go up automatically (we just can't compete financially with Bournemouth and Fulham). I would be surprised and bitterly disappointed if we failed to make the play-offs.
