On the flipside where are the likes of Harper, Leko and Edwards then?

See it goes both ways with youngsters, not that I don't disagree with your point we have the oldest squad in the division and uncoincidentally we've run out of steam

Edwards went to Ipswich, started well but has had some serious injuries over the past couple of years. He signed for Oxford despite still being injured.

The other 2 had chances here but neither pushed on either here or elsewhere.

Ipswich hold on and beat Cov 2-1. They only need a draw now on Saturday to be certain of promotion.

Against an awful Huddersfield side who won’t want Leeds to get promoted  ;D

Leeds looking like finishing 3rd with Southampton 4th, so they would be our possible opponents should we make it to the next stage.

I quite like Blues, but since their loan Wolf Sanderson gave us the Z sign, I'd love it if they went down if only for a season! Also justice for the disgraceful treatment of John Eustace after he got them to 5th! All for the sake of Wayne Rooney!

Never heard of the Sheffield Wednesday manager but what a job he's done as well. Those players were atrocious the first time we played them.

John Eustace might be feeling validated keeping Blackburn up and Blues going down.

Looks like first leg against Southampton is Sunday 12th May at 2:15pm. 2nd leg away is Friday 17th May at 8pm.

I'm not working either of those, wahoo!  ;D

Hull miss out. They made a large loss last season and with the signings they made this season, especially in Jan on loan looking for another large loss again.

How long can the owner sustain this or does FFP bite and he has to sell what little they have, Philogene and Greaves (no way is this bloke worth 20m).

Is it 35m over 3 seasons or something? I'd say they have already bust that. 20m loss in 2022-23 season alone i think

Hull should be fine for sales, Philogene alone is going to go for a big fee. Greaves will most likely go for a good fee also, although 20m for a championship centre back is very unlikely. Still they can probably expect to make in the region of 30m from those two alone. Will leave them with something of a re-building job that will make next season difficult though, with their loans also going.

Really they should have done a lot better than they did, should have made the play offs with the quality of their starting team given the position they were in after the January window.

Villa have a buy back clause for 15m on Philogene however that is based on Hull getting promoted. I would say 15m would secure him either way due to their need to sell or get points deducted.

Hulls other good players were not theirs as you say, just loans.

Brilliant to see Blues go down. I listened to their game on the radio at the Hawthorns during our game and I was convinced that hull would ruin it with an equaliser.

Their owners, is it Knighthead really giving it large with their ground plans and the baldie main figurehead goes around the pitch like cheerleader before the games.

They nearly went down under a few seasons ago and saved themselves on the last day with an away win, with Clarke running into their fans when they scored.

One player I would love is the one we were linked with before he went permanently to PA, Morgan Whittaker, as he is only going to get better and better.

Maybe a swap for Grant.

I can dream.

Danny Rohl, who was assistant at Bayern Munich. The guy who did the analysis.

Excellent manager or coach whatever he is called. On paper a terrible team but he's got them playing to their strengths.
