They are sending him straight out on loan to Plymouth so he may play against us this season

My teeth are itching...........

That Lino wasn't being offered a deal by Arsenal, that's why they got him.

Brilliantly embarrassing on national TV tonight.

I sleep better when they are out the domestic cups.

Just need someone decent to knock them out that conference pears cup, or whatever it is called.

I certainly enjoyed the evening of football watching last night  ;D

Let's just say, Fritzl had no need for PornHub last night  ;)

As someone who has followed Ajax closely over the last 40 years, Villa couldn't possibly have picked a better time to meet them in the Conference League. This Ajax team is easily the worst I have ever seen, and so bad they were actually bottom of the Dutch league back in October. Virtually all their creative players have been sold to the PL and other European leagues, and aside from Henderson, I guess only Bergwijn and Chukka Akpom will be familar names here. I watched both ties Ajax v Bodo Glimp in the last round and Ajax just about scraped through.

No doubt it will give Villa fans something to crow about beating 4 times European Cup winners, but it needs pointing out that a proper Ajax side would sweep them aside. Haven't yet made up my mind about whether to make the trip to the Seal sanctuary, and prepare for the humiliation.

Can't imagine WMP will love having Ajax fans in town. Expect a huge police presence for that one.

Another sad loss. I saw an interview with him where he described how he and Dave Watson when they were at Southampton, used to play head tennis by heading the ball the full length of the gym they used. Both gone to dementia and I suppose another sad example of players in those days being totally unaware of the long term effects of repeated heading.

Chris Nicholl had the most amazing game I ever witnessed,

Back in the day we went to leicester with "the steamers" (vile firm from the Costamonger in brum), the game ended 2-2, Chris Nicholl scored all 4 !!

Just checked 1976 !   where have the years gone?

This may seem like a daft question...... but why?

Me and my mates used to drink in town (Brum) as callow youths and the Hole in the wall / Costermonger / Brown derby were our regular haunts, got to know a lot of the Vile "lads" fairly well, Coming from Great Barr we had a fair mix of baggies / Vile / Bluenoses in our group of lads.  To the extent that when the Albion were away we used to clean seats before games at the Vile (Trinity road), got paid with a pie / pint and watching the game there.

The Steamers used to take a "special" coach (sometimes 2) to away games, they were a very handy firm back in the day, we got "invited" to a few fixtures and as young lads we were daft and got into some stuff I am not proud of now, different times thankfully.

I can answer how, On why, it boils down to stupidity really !

Sounds like a bundle of unfortunate life choices you're unlikely to forget.

Well the Internet definitely won't and neither will I  ;) .

I big shame that it wasn't a lot more.

Hopefully, dick will be off to barca at the end of the season with no release clause and they bring in Pardew.

Fingers crossed Ajax will "clean the floor' with them on next 2 Thursdays and Spurs spank them in between.

In the PL a club can lose 105m over 3 years am I correct in thinking that?

119m last season
0.3m profit season before
Loss of 35m ISH the season before.

Does this mean they have fell foul of FFP now?

Your maths certainly looks good to me, but I am sure that to the ones who make the decisions at the pl will have been given some excuse that gets the scum off with it.

Don't forget this is the same team that stayed in the prem because of the only time the goal line technology was switched off.

Would be great though if a 10 point deduction kept them out of Europe and Dick sees that the situation isn't going to improve and off quickly like his compatriot did at the dings.

I was on Molmix (for a laugh) and they seem comfortable with how things are, apparently players sales mean they are within the rules but only by a few mill and thats why Fosun didn't splash the cash last summer.

Jammy or a well executed plan that has come to fruition?
