One downside might be that Vile has loads of cash to go after similar targets to ours potentially ?
Not as much as you may expect with LErner desperately trying to rake his cash back.

They will have at least £30m to spend. Hopefully Dim Tim spunks it up the wall.

Or Lerner will pocket it after the takeover fell through...

Both Delph and Benteke have a 25% sell on clause. So that £40 million reduced already.

They've already spent £8 million on Delph's replacement.

So all of a sudden that £40 million is closer to £20m.

Of course if learner isn't selling he'll want as much of that back as possible.

Added to the fact they've lost the spine of their team in Given, Vlar, Delph and possibly Benteke and the fact they only have two strikers on the books (one recovering from a broken leg) it makes for an interesting per season.

Hopefully Tim walks out 24 hours before the season starts and really leaves them in a mess.

Having a medical at Liverpool on Monday so they haven't anymore. The only thing we can hope for now is that Lerner pockets the cash from these Sales and its adios to our old friends from Aston.

I can see that if the Vile lot don't get results because of no playing strength, Dim Tim will go at Christmas and they will be screaming for Tony to manage them, to get them out of the proverbial brown stuff. ???

Wouldn't it be freat if they now spent 18m on Charlie austin who then got just 4 goals all season
Or they signed luc nillis and nigel quasie, any way round this is just beautiful,Vlaar ,benteke,Delph ,add in that yourmomsawhore is far and past it and that dim tim is not good under pressure and I genuinely think this could be the year??
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

He always takes the moral highground, which is fine because we all know he was an angel.

Regarding the Villa, I really do think Delph is/was a great player for them and he carried them more so than Benteke. It's all well and good spending the money on replacements but players like Delph are very hard to replace. If you look at their foreign players in recent times, they've all been very bad signings.
As others have said, hopefully Lerner now pockets the cash and that's them done.

I know people rave about benteke, but it wa delph who made them tick.

Seemed to always score against us especially that wonder goal infront of my mate and i whilst we stood with toe rags in the witton stand in that 4:3 defeat.

His 8m trigger cause basically the dark side their money back for what they leeds.

Big Chris, Big Ron, Delph, Given and Cleverley all gone from a team conceding goals for fun in May.  I know Tim Sherwood is the next Tony Barton according to those deluded muppets, but they have to be the weakest team in the PL as things stand right now.

O dear o dear...

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2528701/idrissa-gueye-aiming-for-big-club-after-aston-villa-transfer

New Aston Villa signing Idrissa Gueye has told L'Equipe he aims to use the Premier League side as a stepping stone to a big club.

"I wanted a change of scenery," he said. "The most important thing was to come to England to improve and aim for a big club later.

Made me laugh out loud.

3-1 vile to go down.. tempting. I have a feeling that everton may be in with a shout especially if Stones moves on - 50-1
Even Cillit would have banged that one in..

Do you think the possibilty of get 40 million in the coffers for learner had any influence on the villa takeover going down the drain? Is he really going to re invest?
