If Leicester get a point tonight, they go above the vile, who drop down to just above the drop.

I'm not really paying attention to places - we're 13th but could still theoretically go down. Point are far more important

Arsenal looked awsome against Hull, lets hope they make these look silly in the final and that Benteke pulls his ham

The way they bossed those final twenty minutes, retaining the ball but also playing some amazing one-touch stuff, was top drawer.

They will survive - but the cocky one is looking over his shoulder!

Tim Slurwood has stated that it will go to the wire and they may need another 2-3 wins to be safe, which is a bit different to the "relegation playing like that - your having a laugh" jibe after the Man City game.

Sherwood fits villa like a glove doesn't he. Smug git. That Grelish gets right on my nerves as well, ouses vile sea life centre arrogance.

Anyone see Roy Keanes new piece...

Said Sherwood was laying groundwork for the Villa job months before Lambert was sacked by attending the games. Also has a dig at Benteke for not doing enough in training compared to other top strikers Keane has worked with.

All that said, he's got them playing fast attacking football. Can you remember that?

Dont think there in danger of going down although if it did go wrong for them Saturday I'm sure they would be nervous.

At the end of the day we have under achieved in recent years , Villa have massively under achieved in recent years.
They have players in Benteke , Delph , Gabby , Guzan , even concrete Ron who would walk in most non top 8 sides including ours IMO , i don't think there's a huge gap between us but one we need to bridge with a few quality signings. With the squad left at Villa i feel Sherwood has had an easier job than Pulis with us.

Against us yes, but he does very little else all season.

Anyone with his pace would cause our defenders issues given how slow they are. He's regularly shown up as the average striker he really is against any defender that has a little pace themselves.

Each to their own guys , he would still get in our side right now and a few around us....a clear indication of where we need to improve in the Summer.

Former Arsenal defender Tony Adams plans a sensational £150million takeover of Aston Villa.
The ex-England international is understood to have approached City investors in recent weeks in a bid to raise funds for the ambitious project.
Adams, 48, is working with former IMG and Chelsea executive Paul Smith, and the duo are also keen to buy shares in clubs in Belgium, Italy and Portugal, according to Sky News.
Randy Lerner will go ahead with his plans to sell Villa this summer despite his delight at the club reaching the FA Cup Final.
And the 53-year-old American billionaire won’t ask for any guarantees from any of the three rival consortia who have held talks about buying the club over the future of manager Tim Sherwood.

Bloody shame Benteke decided to put himself in the shop window,
DimTim getting the plaudits, he! he!

He (DimTim) will be found out big time next season IMO. I have been predicting the demise of Vile for years though :-(

IF Villa lose to Southampton, and Hull avoid defeat at Spurs on Saturday, it will still go to the last game of the season with it being possible of Villa going down... Or am I just being too hopeful?  ::)
