And, lets not forget:

And, there are definitely no Americans in Baghdad, eh Stevie  ???

The home kit looks more Burnley than Aston Villa.

Set to sign 2 very good players in Nicklas Helenius from Aalborg & Jores Okore from FC Nordsjaelland.

Never heard of either of them to be honest. Fair play to them for trying to get deals done early though.

Leandro Bacuna set to have a medical today as well.

The home kit looks very nice. Its similar to the one we wore when we won the European Cup. Had you heard that we won the European Cup? As we won the European Cup. But we didn't wear the home shirt in the year that we won the European Cup, we wore our traditional white away kit, the year we won the European Cup.

The away kit is different, but I think its alright to be honest. Its got more blackcurrent on it than the shirt we wore when we won the European Cup though. Had I mentioned that we won the European Cup? Ah yes, I can see that I mentioned we won the European Cup a few lines ago.

That's for you Ziggy.

Well after Denmark's 4-1 home defeat to Armenia, you can certainly understand the clamour to sign their fringe players!

In all seriousness i'm quite surprised at the signings Villa are making, Lambert usually signs mainly British players. I guess we'll see how they do but quite a lot of these players have good reputations abroad, if they can pick up a few players anywhere near Benteke's level again they'll do well.

Our class shines through yet again:

@JongsmaJongsma: FC Groningen director Hans Nijland compliments Aston Villa. 'The way the transfer has been handled is like we wish it would always go.'

They sign a few inexoerienced foreign players and they thick they're Barcelona bless em. They're the footballing equivalent of a child who's just got some pocket money and buys a load of tat with it. Guarantee the 'undisclosed fees' are covering up some poor spending too.
