MOTD getting all aroused over the Villa.

"They've had a really good week" "young side, a work in progress" what a load of s****.

They were poor under McCliesh and they're poor under Lambert. Lambert to me just seems to be a worse and more annoying Brendan Rodgers, thinks he's some sort of footballing saviour. I wish he'd just f*** off.
If he keeps them where they are that`s fine by me

Agreed. Not just because he manages them either. Thought he was a tosser ever since he dropped Colchester like a stone in the manner he did. Generally came across as fairly unlikeable at Norwich despite his achievements and he leaves them in a very poor manner too. The day he eventually does that to the Villa I will be loffin, hopefully he takes them down first though.

Doing worse under Corberan whose name they called for on the last day of last season than MacLeish

Unfortunately Hughes has messed qpr up so much and reading are so pooh that 2 of the relegation spots will be taken up.

I have seen nothing in their team to suggest they wont be the third team to join them

Lambert sickens me, all he does is suck the fans off and they fall for it.
I only go for the beer.

Lambert is one of life bores. I'd rather spend a night in a prisoner of war camp than spend a night with him. No charisma, no personality, no drive = No success.

Really? Look at what the guy did at Norwich. I would count that as a great success. Just because he manages Villa doesnt mean his achievements are suddenly void. Yes, he is painfully boring but doesnt make him less of a manager. If he is good at his job I wouldnt care.

Quite a few managers have had success for a short period and then nothing, i can't say i'm impressed with Lambert so far at vile.
Glad he's their manager and not our's.

As an example of other managers Paul Jewell took Wigan from League One as it is now into the Premiership where they finished 10th and got to a League Cup Final.
He was touted as a young manager on the way up,where is he now? on Sky.

I reckon that if there were any stronger sides come up last year, Villa would be in trouble. They still aren't very good.

The bro in law (vile) just text me , said its gone quiet in handsworth..

I reminded him
We beat Liverpool , but kept a clean sheet
They are still closer to QPR than they are to us
Their great strike force has helped them to -9 goal diff
Benteke thought they were arsenal
The last team to win the Mickey Mouse cup went down
They ain't in the final yet
We go 3rd with a win tomorrow over a team in claret and blue
We never put ads in the evening mail begging for support
His daughter ( my niece) is going to the Albion carvery on the 20th

He hasn't responded :D

Dispite there improvement in form they are only 3 points ahead of the relegation zone.

Liverpool today should have had two penalties in my opinion which would have changed the game.

Villa have improved with results but it won't continue forever however the last three games has shown me how cocky and complacent the seals can become in a short space of time. They ain't out of it yet, not by a long shot.

They wont go down so im not going to get to hopeful that we can be the only West Midlands team in the top flight. Benteke is proving o be a very good find, they he an exciting young side, a manager who actually isnt that bad despite what some have said on here and a few teams in this league who will help save them.

Yes their fans can be insufferable at times and they havent taken our contrasting fortunes in recent reasons with the same grace as we did for the previous 20 or so years but they d deserve some credit after rebuilding the right way after O'Neill nearly bankrupted them chasing the champions league. They have brought through academy players and have bought youngsters from the lower leagues and scouted well in Europe. They will most likely be back challenging us for top dogs in the midlands spot his time next year.

Great Post.  Benteke will end up at a big club for a lot of money.
