Thanks for the info Blandy, very interesting to know (albeit Dan's edit is undoubtedly the reality).

Are there any that have particularly stood out to you? Are Fenton Heard and Layton Love part of that age group? My gut instinct says Heard will be in Villa colours by the summer.
Heard’s already signed a professional contract last year, rejecting an advance from Villa in the process.

2 Youth players have signed their first professional contracts today, Central Midfielder Ollie Bostock (17) and Centre Back Jamal Mohammed (17, soon to be 18)

Congratulations to both of them and hopefully it leads to 1st team opportunities in the future.

No rush bringing him back into the team ,12 goals in 5 games and unbeaten since he was injured ,I know Wallace struggled sometimes but his clever movement off the ball created a few goals which I doubt assante would have made ,stick to the same attacking players for me
oddly enough, our chance creation fell though the floor over the last few weeks. We barely created good chances but are clinical when we do..

The amount they spend is inconsequential and the potential rewards from poaching from us are high but they’ve when you consider Philogene, Chukwuemeka, both Ramseys and Archer (just of the top of my head) they’ve done far better out their own than they’ve got from us. Maybe we should try and get who Hopcroft and Harrison replaced.
we stated to, if he wasn’t injured Ruben Shakpoke would be the main striker for the U21’s this year.

I wonder where we'd rate positionally on a Championship Loan Hit and Miss Chart?
probably about average.

How can you say that when Griffiths has hardly played this season?
because Griffiths has done similar mistakes whenever he’s played for us, pick a game and you’ll find something similar be it weak hands, ball going under him or bad distribution. He’s a good keeper and will get better but has a mistake in him and is NOT at Palmer’s level yet.

Johnston with a 2nd 4-1.

Through the keeper’s 5-hole to steal an ice hockey term.

And we're also getting our forward players on the ball with the ball in front of them.  Not dropping into midfield to pick up a hopeful one.
yep, wide play much better too. Wingers and full backs actually getting involved.

BBC saying Weimann way offside for Johnstown’s goal. Anyone agree?
not by the Sky cameras from what I’ve seen, but I’m biased.

That’s two relegation battlers in a row who have battered us. Not plucky performances who have made it hard for us, they’ve absolutely dominated us.

Showing up the issues with the squad. It’s too old and slow.
both teams have come off the back of giving Leicester and Leeds a game too. We aren’t an outlier, they’re fighting for their position.

Another awful mistake.
to be fair you’re getting what you want, Palmer playing like Griffiths does.

Stupid tackle from Kipre
it wasn’t, just slightly late and behind the ball. Otherwise it’s a free shot at goal and they score anyway.

Grady not suited to the role he's been given.
he keeps messing with his right thigh, possible injury being managed?
