Not sure what to do tonight, tough decisions?
Emmerdale or the match?
Should I sit and watch a load of farmers running round in a field trying to shag their sheep, half of them pished out of their brains, not knowing what day of the week it is or should I watch Emmerdale?

Confident of a win tonight. So long as Shan does not subscribe to the insistence on a keeper and defenders who are totally not suited to it playing out from the back then I feel we will get the victory.

Just read that Gibbs is the only player definitely out with a thigh injury. Apparently other than that, Shan has a full squad to choose from.

After Brunt has said about the passing out from the back malarkey I doubt we'll see it from now on.

My team is not too dissimilar to Jacko's and echos some of the sentiments Standaman has made on  what he'd like to see from a new manager. I'd go 4231 as it is a back to basics approach and would have inverted wingers, stretching the play doesn't really suit us due to the lack of athleticism in the centre of the park.

Johnstone

Holgate
Adarabioyo
Hegazi

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if this is what we get if they are all fit with Gibbs for Townsend if fit.

I've changed my mind a bit on the team I'd pick. I'm not sure tonight is the right time to change things too radically. I'd just go back to 4-3-3 but modify it slightly playing three across midfield and three up front with one winger and two central strikers. Abandon the over-playing out from the back and instead get the players minds focused on setting a tempo and getting about Swansea. It's important Matty Phillips holds his position in midfield and resists the temptation to keep galloping down the right wing. Let Holgate provide the width in the main and play off him.

If all are available (heard Gibbs is out):

                                   Bond

Holgate          Dawson              Hegazi             Townsend

        Phillips                 Barry              Johansen

                     Gayle                  Rodriguez        Murphy

Subs: Johnstone, Bartley, Mears, Field, Harper, Robson-Kanu, Brunt

Update:

West Stand              2,133
Brummie Road         1,255
West Stand              450
Smethwick               Sold Out

Remaining:  3,838

19,850 approx sold in home areas. May not even break the 20,000 barrier. That's poor.

Think we all want that so, out of interest, what would your 11 and formation be?

Why complain about how many fans attend our matches? You have about as much control over it as how the person in the car driving next to you drives.

Unless you run them off the road of course. Then you've pretty much controlled where they drive lol.

Hope Townsend plays well, he was our best player 1st half v Ipswich. He had a stinker of a 2nd half but so did everybody else.

I also hope we go back to basics, 2 sitting midfielders, 3 attacking and 1 up top.

No more of that "playing out from the back no matter what" just assuming we can pass the ball through 11 men when some of our men include Tosin, Livermore, Murphy, J-Rod and Dawson whose passing leaves so much to be desired.

Honestly think having 20 thousand home fans in the stadium when the game is on tv and with everything that’s happening is superb.

Another game in which I think we will struggle, but a narrow victory for us 1-0 or 2-1

3600 left now so just over 20k and whatever they bring. Not too shabby considering the state and form we are in.
