Completely forgot ex Albion youth player Paul Downing was playkng championshi football with Blackburn this season. Has only made 4 appearances this season and is looking likely to move back to move back to league 1 this month. Not making a bad career for himself though.

Any player that comes through the academy and has a sustained career in league football is a success story. Some academies realise this, some don't.

You just hope the Academy are showing our young lads that the grass isn't always greener at the bigger clubs.

If you look at Sinclair who left at a young age to join Liverpool, now dropping down the leagues to get games.
Izzy Brown is another, moving to Chelsea and hasn't really kicked on with any of his loan spells.

Hopefully those two examples make some of our young prospects realise it may be better for them to stick around.

He was always going to face an uphill battle as he didn't fit the way we were playing. But I thought he would have been a better fit in a foreign league.

He was always going to face an uphill battle because he isn't very good. Assume he didn't suit the way League 1 Peterborough played either?
