His season certainly isn't over. Only seemed to feel it and got him off early. Half fit he's better than Rodriguez.

Explain to me how he can train all week, but as soon as the prospect of a tackle comes about, he has a pull?
I suspect he is another one with either enough in the bank or a psychological flaw. Even bloody Sick Vic lasted longer than that

Best outfield player in an Albion shirt again tonight

He did it making an awkward pass. Nothing to do with the challenge.

I know he wasn't tackled,  what i was asking was, how can he get injured in an environment with tackles going on, but he doesn't get injured when there are no tackles going on? regardless of him being tackled.

Not saying a lot , simply he's not good enough.
Rubbish finisher , too slow passing , not strong enough when he should be . Not up to it week in , week out.
Not the only one either .

We had to gamble on a player with a scoring reputation to try and get our season on track  but it looks so far that it has backfired big time

Think Pardew said it was hamstring but not serious, i would be having a serious look at our warms up before the game and what our players do during breaks in play as think thats Evans, Gibbs, HRK and now Sturridge all been injured with a hamstring injury of some level within the last couple of weeks.

As for Sturridge, this was always the risk with him, when he plays he is a top player and thats what you hope you get, the flipside you know he is likely to be crocked at any time and sort of sums our season up that we get the negative flipside!

He ain't worth arguing with mate he's on a wind up as usual he rates rubbish players and dislikes decent players I'm sure he doesn't really believe that Rondon is any good.just does it for a reaction, I've forgot more about football than he'll ever know.

A panic signing because we couldn’t move Evans on. A blind, deaf, mute knows Sturridge is made of glass yet our so called management/coaching/scouting staff think he’s the man to save us.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We had to take the punt. His season isn't over although ours probably is.

It’s not hindsight though is it - ask any fan in the country and they would tell you they’d expect Sturridge to be injured at some point with us

You haven't got a clue about the modern game everything you post an opinion about, the opposite is invariably true. Backed up only by your mate from sunny Devon. Stick to your memorabilia and your memories. Your credibility on here is zero.

Not as zero as yours! You ain't got s clue about any football modern or our history, find another sport you can understand. Getting desperate now not only having a go at me but bringing Devon into it as well you really are a sad person.

It was obvious that our main problem this season has been finding a clinical forward able to convert chances into goals. If I had been manager, and was offered Deeney, Slimani, Akobe or Sturridge, I would have bitten your arm off for Sturridge, despite his injury record. He has scored alot of goals at Premier League level, he is still young and he is an England international. From what I read he is also very motivated. His injury record is a risk, but I think it was a necessary risk. If we can get 7 or 8 goals out of him, that could make the difference.

the worst part about this injury is it may bring HRK back from the dead. He seems to be living in the dog house since his awful game at Exeter. Keep him there. Play either Burke or Leko instead as change of pace subs in the last 15-20 minutes if needed.

He pulled his hamstring at Anfield so has been injured rather than in the gulag.
