He’s played up front most games for us this season. Who do you expect to be top scorer?
According to you anyone but him. You are entitled to your opinion but you have always got to have a player to slate on a regular basis. But whenever,  whoever your target is, as a few good games  you have nothing to say.

Need him to get fit and get some form as we aren’t winning the play offs with BTA up top.
He is our leading goalscorer this season!?

A frustrating game today, for sure. The performance, like the first half of Millwall, wasn't anywhere near the level, with the majority of the XI nowhere near their best.

However, I am finding it really difficult with large sections of 'fans' around my seat. I appreciate that the Albion can be a place to let off some steam from a week at work; and when there is time to give criticism at games, I'm one of the first. With our superb home record, I get the impression people just turn up and expect us to win, but teams like Watford are littered with Premier League players - they just lack consistency.

BTA has huge limitations as a footballer and he should have buried that one in the first half. Yet, even after he scored an excellent goal to get us back in the game, when he misplaced a simple ball, there were people swearing and screaming for him to be taken off. I'm also no Adam Reach fan but to boo an Albion player coming on, when we're 5th in the league? I find it really difficult to sit and listen to. Funnily enough, he actually played quite well.

Wondering if I am the only one here?

Mods: I tried to find a relevant thread but this may need moving?
Just read some of the posts in the in game thread! The people who boo, jeer, swear and abuse our players at the ground are no different to the people on here, and it's always the same ones, Sad really.

Furlong had two men at the back post and was held off from jumping for the header.  Can't blame him for that.
Oh certain people on here will mate, they would blame Furlong if he wasn't playing.

Joined Bristol City on a permanent deal.

Can't help thinking we've made an error here regardless of us needing funds.
I think you might be right Phil.

Livermore with 2 identical screamers within minutes to give Val a 2 goal lead
Leaves to a standing ovation and his name being sung throughout the away end
I used to get slated on here for backing Livermore, but i never wavered in my opinion. It was always the same people who now slate our own players (the same players all the time) but are nowhere to be seen when one of them as a good game Assante yesterday as an example.

In what sense ?
Well you see him play like i do. In every sense. Tell me a better player in our team? Technical, speed, fitness skill shooting, passing, crossing. And that goal he scored he meant it. But for some he will do as the next scapegoat.

That's just evidence of how poor the squad is defensively - not a plus point for Townsend.
That's your opinion, in mine Townsend is underated and definitely better than Pieters.

You aye seen many defenders in a Albion shirt then.
I have seen them all from 1968 to present day. So yes i have seen many. And he is one of the worst awful. As i said it's opinions a lot on here don't rate Townsend but we missed him Friday night that's why he came on.

What about Palmer? He was excellent. I'd say Phillips was our best outfield player, followed by Kipre who did really well too.
your opinion mate but Kipre is one of the worst defenders i have ever seen in an Albion shirt.

Former Baggie Alec Jackson as sadly passed away. The Tipton born player was 86. I knew Alec on a personal level and he was a smashing down to earth proper black countryman.R.I.P. Alec.

When no one else wants you and you are a yes man, eventually you'll be the last man standing.

I hope you're wrong and he does brilliantly, but like you I have my doubts.

On LinkedIn he is listed as ‘Managing Director (Non Football)’ so that tells you all you need to know really. Unlike RG, he does not appear to have any links to other clubs so it can only be seen as a ‘bums on seats’ exercise. Probably a nice bloke and all that, but we all know why he was appointed, and the future development of our club is not high on the agenda
Trust me he ain't a nice bloke.

I know this bloke personally from my time working at the Albion as a steward. From my experience with him he is not very trust worthy, hadn't got much of a clue what he was doing and unless he as changed i fear the worse.

Sadly I cannot really bring myself to care about the sentiments provided by him in his open letter. Ultimately, he has cost us an absolute fortune in terms of the transfer fee and his exorbitant wages over the years for what has been very little output from him as he has been truly awful for us over the years and a strong part of the decline we have experienced since he joined us.
Not his fault he was paid high wages,  would you have turned it down? Thought not. And he hasn't exactly had top drawer players around him. I thank him for his service on and off the field and wish him all the best in the future.
