I'm going, had to miss Ipswich and Swansea due to work commitments but can leave work at 4 on Friday, so will drive straight to Sheffield. To be honest as much as the game being moved for TV is annoying it's meant that I can spend the weekend with my partner and get up the allotment early on Sunday morning!

I'm struggling to see the positive... ;D

Seriously considered knocking this one on the head due to it being another Friday away day.

Still got a ticket in the end though, although I would have much preferred 15:00 hrs on a Saturday.

Phillips has to play in midfield. A left footer has to play wide right forward.

If you all want Barry in, Livermore has to make way.

If you want Gayle in, Rodriguez has to make way.

Any alternatives are shoe horning players into a system they don't suit as opposed to picking the best players for the system.

Imo.

I again feel we may revert to 3 at the back for this, though I thought the same against Brentford and it didn't come to pass.

Pretty much agree with this.

Regarding switching to 3 at the back, I can see why you may think it's likely with Sheffield United playing a back 3 but I really think leaving our wide players high against them could cause some damage.

If Barry starts then Darren Moore must have the strength of character to take him off as soon as he tires which inevitably he will given his age.  It's all down to a manager being able to recognise the tactical situation and being strong enough to pull senior players.  I think he's shown he can demote players that he's brought in such as Bartley because that also takes courage.

My hope would be that by the time Barry comes off we're two ahead and all we need as a sub is someone who can run and tackle. ;)

Not a "must win"..A real GOT TO! ....WIN. We are dropping down. DM must stop this decline. He has to drop his chums and go for victory.

Wasn't going to comment, as Jacko has already done that....but I couldn't help it.  Which chums are we talking about? And how can a game against a team above us in the table who were in the mix last season be a Got to Win?  And how is three wins on the spin followed by two draws - a game we should have buried by half time, and well contested derby - be seen as a decline??  And, and....

Just curious.

I’m not suggesting it’s a must win at this stage of the season and I’m unsure of Droit’s reasoning. However prior to those three wins we’d only won one in six and one of the draws following said three wins was very definitely two points dropped, meaning we’ve won four from the last eleven of twenty one games played.

Further I’d imagine it’s because Sheffield United were very strong runners and riders last season and are currently above us in the League. Thus suggesting it’s important not to lose ground on them, or Leeds and Norwich for that matter, as they are currently six and seven points ahead of us respectively in the automatics.

Although (as previously stated) I’m unsure of his reasoning given it’s only three defeats in eleven, the above points may go some way to explaining his concerns…… you're welcome  ;D .

All matches are "Must win"
Let only only one slip, and you are in the mire. This has been proved too with every season, and now it has to be our starting point. Onwards and upwards ONLY!

Bingo we should be looking to win every game. And we could do with keep this run going (less draws more wins) so we stay in touch with the leaders and dare I say show the other sides in the championship were not just bully boys but were serious promotion contenders

TV money quite simply. We are an attractive proposition for SKY.

Fair enough.

But I don't like it.

The game is then on the same time as my son's cricket match or the time I'm travelling to it. 7am to 9am Saturday morning Sydney time.
They could think of us poor Aussie fans couldn't they?

Can't remember the last time we had a Saturday game.

Not really, but he's never been played in his actual position until now. TP never really fancied him and he's not a central striker, he looked absolutely woeful compared to the superb Sal Rondon while ploughing that particular lone furrow.

In this formation and in his favoured position he is exremely important to the balance of the entire team. Could Brunt or Sako do it? Possibly, but untill he has a shocker I don't see why he should lose the shirt out wide right.

Apparently in our in our last win at Bramall lane, Darren Moore scored for both sides (2-1 Feb 2004).

Supposedly we haven't won three away games in a row since May 2008 either, where we won four.
