Rodriguez not affecting games unless we get a pen .allows a change of shape. Livermore cannot pass a football, Or move into space to receive a football or bring a football under control. Gets around the pitch though  ???

Just off the top of my head Preston springs to mind but I know there are plenty of other occasions that would make your argument flawed, problem is when you have your (for the want of a better phrase) boo boys (Dawson, JRod, Livermore) its hard to change your mind without losing face.

Sometimes the best person to question your opinion is You!

I'd be happy to play Rodriguez right up front but that would sacrifice Gayle. My problem is with the shape in this instance not the player.

Livermore is terrible. I've never seen him play well. Dawson is a poor fullback at Premier League level. Fine at centre back.

Sometimes there isn't any face to lose. Just well formed but differing opinion.

I think livermore has been excellent. Has shown much more in terms of passing this season and has played a key part in some of our goals. Winning the ball and the cross for the first against Bristol, assists for Gayle against Stoke and JRod at the weekend. One of the first names on the team sheet for me.

JRod is a funny one - he’s quite intelligent but hasn’t really got a defining feature - pace, power, heading etc - yet he can certainly finish. However I watched the Preston game back and he did do some good stuff in that game.

Bartley has mainly been dreadful but I don’t see us dropping a new signing. What I do think we need is the midfield showing for the ball more and I include Barnes in that. It doesn’t seem like Barnes drops back to take the ball off the defence and given how he is so good at driving through midfield is like to see him offer himself a bit more. Then again I guess he can’t be everywhere.

This is why I’d like to see Morrison start in midfield. I think he has the passing accuracy and the ability to run with the ball that might make our centre midfield a bit more fluid.

I’m sitting here and shaking my head at how very different people’s opinions of Jake Livermore are.

Some say he is brilliant and others say he’s downright terrible.

Now I’m sorry but he can’t be both. Which one is right?

Well Big Dave is the manager and he keeps playing him so he must think he has something.

Shame. Was hoping we would see Sako. Interesting to see Edwards replacing Field on the bench. Hopefully we will be able to get him on for 20 mins or so.

I can’t get any footie coverage during game time in the US. Only BBC world service. COYB.

Barry is so slow - a liability off-the ball and should be retired.

Mears doesn't even merit commenting on, except to say his inclusion means the whole right-hand side of our attack is neglected.

3 centre backs doesn't work for us as Bartley's distribution is shocking - we need to stop being so stubborn and change to a 4-2-3-1 (which also means we can drop Mears and put Dawson at right-back).

Rodriguez is very poor in the role behind the striker, and Hoolahan would add much more impetus, being a better dribbler and passer in those spaces.

All of these problems are obvious and easily fixable, but Moore has clearly decided which players he likes and which he doesn't (see Field and Adarabaiyo who should both be starting, and Burke who offers pace off the bench, unlike HRK who offers nothing).

Some quality from Gayle and Barnes might bail us out again (as it has done many times already), but none of that takes away from this obviously poor management. We have won games in spite of Moore's decisions this season, not because of them.

We're not out of the game yet, and Barnes and Gayle have the quality to score regardless of all the above.

Scary when you remember neither of these players are our own though...

Now if you had added that onto your other post it wouldn't have made such depressive reading.
