For what it's worth I would also prefer Berahino to Long, but I'm in a minority and we know that wouldn't happen.

Rosenberg has still got a lot to prove. See nothing wrong in hoping a youngster gets a bit of game time irrespective of whose expense it comes at.

I'm in the Back the Berg camp but if it came down to Berahino or Berg i would choose Berahino for the pure fact that he could be our future star.

Its a tough call, as I would like to see more of Berahnio but then Rosenberg of late has looked good in the Pre season games and he is starting to get some momentum for the upcoming season.  I wouldn't prefer to have Berahnio over Long though as I feel that Long is getting better and better.

I was impressed by Saido Berahino last night. I thought his on the ball quality and movement was very good and certainly very promising for the future. He obviously has plenty of potential and it is paramount that we allow him to improve with a loan spell away to catch up on the development he missed out on last season when his loan spell was cut short due to injury. No matter how promising he is, there is very little chance that he'll become a first teamer and start replacing the likes of Shane Long and Markus Rosenberg.

I was also impressed by Nicolas Anelka. Think he'll prove to be a good signing overall and hopefully he can pass on some of his knowledge and experience to those around him.

Glad Saido got on the scoresheet, and Rosenberg. I would want another striker in, but I think both will have bigger parts to play over the coming season.

I hope to see Berahino feature in the cup competitions for us this season. His chances in the Premiership will be limited and will mostly be sub appearances. However if we were to get another striker in then I see he may be loaned out hopefully to a Championship club.

any highlights from this?

Sky were showing the goals most of yesterday, Central News preferred to have a toss fest over the fact that Chelsea were taking a team full of kids to Ilkeston  ::)
