Fixtures

Fixtures out today? Who do we all want first?

I’d take a Man City or Liverpool away. Get them out the way early doors.

October and March are massive months. They are the key battlegrounds for me, all winnable.

At least we don’t have a bad month unlike Leeds in April, both Manchester’s, Liverpool and a local Sheffield

Is it just me or does anyone else feel a bit deflated with the new fixtures coming out.

This was an exciting day going through all the fixtures but with the possiblity of not attending any of them this season, or at least half of them, its lost that bit of excitement.

We will have the league won by Christmas.  ;D

At least our local derbies aren't at the start of the season. We might actually get a crowd for them. Maybe!?!

Good chance of getting a crowd in for the big derbies on 19th December and 24th April.

There should be nothing in those fixtures that worries us.

The big take from me is that we need to be safe BEFORE May... Back to back derby games along with 3 of potentially the top 6 all in a clump - would rather not be reliant on getting results against West Ham or on the last day at Elland road.

Saturday, April 17 Leicester A
Saturday, April 24 Villa  A
Saturday, May 1   Wolves H
Saturday, May 8   Arsenal A
Tuesday, May 11  Liverpool   H
Saturday, May 15 West Ham H
Sunday, May 23   Leeds A

In an ideal world that would be great, but can you really see us clear of 18th with 5 games to go? Extremely unlikely. We'll need points from those games, for sure.

I mean they have been the big games for the last few years but the difference between the villa and wolves games this season will be too big too explain ;D

Couple of years ago we were their  lowest or second lowest attendance all season at 31k so 14k empty seats, think that tells you all you need to know about how they see this big derby

Speak for yourself, plenty on here like me will always see beating the Vile as more important than beating the dog heads.

We got off relatively lightly on the Europa front. For the 6 Group stage games scheduled for before Xmas, no moves to the Sunday except for the Spurs game currently scheduled for Saturday 7 November, and that will only move to the Sunday if Spurs progress through their 3 qualifying/play off games.

It’s the vile for me too. Always has been.

On fixtures I’d like a Southampton or Newcastle

Edit; hadn’t seen the released fixtures  :D

Love the BBC articles selected derbies.  ;)

They decided to take pity on Everton and the Dingles by including them and leaving out Liverpool v Man Utd and WBA v Vile.  ;)

According to Sky, unless they have now changed it, we play Brighton away twice, February and October. Life is tough for newly promoted teams  ;)
