Albion's game at Leicester on 17 April will need to be rearranged as Leicester are in FA Cup semi final.

Saw his debut at Palace aged 16 in December 1981. RIP Mickey.

Not seen it mentioned elsewhere but commentators on Burnley YouTube highlights say that linesman flagged for offside after Diagne hit bar, so it wouldn't have counted.

Albion v Everton on March 20 will have to be rearranged because Everton will be playing Man City in FA Cup that weekend.

The stand out sentence for me from the From Buzaglo to Balis book, is the quote from John Wile looking back to the time Peace became Chairman in June 2002: "But Jeremy could see the treasures that lay ahead."

Just trawled through the accounts on companies house website, back to accounts for year to June 2016, before the sale.

In the accounts to June 2016, (season 2015/16) there are entries where the club has borrowed from & owed money to the parent company, both more than £3.7 million.

I believe it's likely that Peace used some of the value of his personal shares as a surety against loans to increase his shareholding, but that £3.7 million doesn't appear specifically until the accounts for season 2016/17.

I believe it's more likely be a loan to pay the team of accountants, lawyers & translators from both sides who brokered the deal.

You need to look further back to the accounts for the period when JP made his tender offer for shares in Summer 2014.

The loan of £3.7m was discovered in the filed accounts of WBA Holdings (Peace's company) for the year to 30 June 2015. Holdings is shown as owing £3,716,000 to "group undertakings" (i.e. Club).

49 years ago to the day. It was the most unlikeliest of victories back then. We need lightning to strike twice.

Half way through October and we still have no idea when we'll be playing in November.

We won't be playing Spurs on Saturday 7 November because of their Europa game on the previous Thursday, if that's any help!

We play Burnley, Brighton and Fulham, so not surprising Sky/BT didn't pick us. But all games will be probably end up being shown anyway.

We got off relatively lightly on the Europa front. For the 6 Group stage games scheduled for before Xmas, no moves to the Sunday except for the Spurs game currently scheduled for Saturday 7 November, and that will only move to the Sunday if Spurs progress through their 3 qualifying/play off games.

What a reliable centre half John was. My lasting memory of him was in 1968 at Fratton Park, 4th round FA Cup. John must have shouted some obscenity and a young policeman didn't like what he heard and strolled onto the pitch with play continuing, to have words with him. At that, the referee came running over and told him to get off the pitch - exit, one upstart pig!!

West Bromwich Albion FC / Blue and white away from home

Apart from the pre season games, 2019-20 was the first season ever where Albion did not wear blue and white in a single away game. Love the green and yellow, so no complaints on that score, but do think we could have worn blue and white at least once!

Well we couldn't really have hoped for a worse set of results could we?

Horrible set of results. Opens door for Derby to draw level with Cardiff.
