An enjoyable game to watch. Fairly clean, and dare I say it, well refereed. Cue a card fest second half.

Well Darlaston won 3-1 after an equal first half we dominated second half my fears of no atmosphere actually weren't to be worried, me and a fee other blokes enjoyed ourselves we now play next Saturday against Lichfield away. Has anyone been to Lichfield what's it like. I'm debating going they charge £4.50 a pint Darlo charge Black Country places and it is about an hour and 15 minutes away from Darlaston by bus. But It would be my first time away.If the price of a pint is putting you off, then you shouldn't go. How many are you necking during a game?
Solihull Moors are on course for the National League Play Off Final currently winning 0-4. I would like to see the Moors do it because it's another Midland side in the League.
Paul Williams was nowhere as bad as he is labelled. Most of the abuse started when Stuart Pearson left and rumours seemed to blame him. The abuse Williams got was frankly embarrassing. I met him and he was a nice guy and was proud to be at Albion. He despised Bobby Gould.I remember seeing him score a lot of headers for Stockport. When he arrived to us, most passes came to him with his back to goal. Not his strong point. The only time I recall a proper cross to him was the televised fa cup game away to Orient, resulting in a powerful headed goal. We rarely played to this strengths.
When I watched the highlights I thought when Swift hit his over the bar early on from Fellows, I thought you were all a bit harsh on him and thought it was a difficult chance. But then Andy Johnson said he should have buried it so what do I know.I thought the keeper made an excellent save with the one on one.
Definitely think BTA stuffed up, especially when he was one on one and through on goal.
It does seem that whenever we do something good it’s “Corberan is a tactical genius, whose little clever little tweaks are responsible”. Likewise, when something goes wrong it’s “ah well, the players are absolutely terrible, Corberan is overachieving”The owner has openly admitted, that with any new venture that he is new to, he employs those that know what they’re doing. He has already openly backed Carlos. We really don’t need an owner making knee-jerk decisions. I don’t think our new owner does. Just look at the Blues.
Personally, think he’s done about par for the squad we’ve got.
I know I’ll get pelters for this but unless we get promoted I personally wouldn’t be averse to the new owner bringing in his own man for next season.
I shall be there at BET365 Saturday and hope we put a strong team out and the performance is good in BOTH half’s.I don't think Carlos allows our players to 'take their foot off the gas' .
It seems, being virtually guaranteed a play-off spot, players have taken their foot of the pedal in the last few games - maybe subconsciously saving themselves for the play-offs.
The Millwall player should get a ban for the push that led to his shoulder injury. It was completely unnecessary and could have led to a big injury.Nobody on here mentioned it. I saw it straight away. Strange that!
Watched the highlights back, great goal but i felt he possibly could have done better for their 2nd i think it was, caught himself on the spin. Still the wonder strike probably cancelled it outSwings and roundabouts.
Just a thought, i couldnt make the game today, if Cedric had played would they have scored? You’ll need access to a parallel universe.
Just watched the highlights a couple of times, looks to me like BTA's shot flicked the defenders arm and could have flown over otherwise?Watching in real time, it was a thing of beauty.
Has he assisted a goal since he’s been here?Have a look at that subtle touch to Okay against Huddersfield.
Don’t think the chairman will be too impressed. Subs should’ve been made at half time. I’ve got no data to back this up, but it feels like he always struggles against teams that play 3/5 at the back.If you've listened to, or read any of our owners interviews, you'd realise that he doesn't need to understand everything in a business venture. He employs others to do that. Carlos knows his stuff. He'll leave substitutions to him, and not get involved. Most probably because he doesn't understand the reason for any footballing decision. That's a sensible dynamic.
We haven’t lost a game since BTA last played so it comes as no surprise for me, you can’t play with ten menYou we’re saying?
Forget it mate. Some of them could barely walk by the end of the match. Come to think of it, some of them could barely walk at the beginningBeing as most games seem to be at walking pace, I don't think crawling pace is going to be entertaining. And I dread to think what the hissy fits would be like.
On the talent point, interesting to see the names in the England under 2's and 20's sides this weekend, especially given the amount of injuries in the senior sides and promotions of youngsters (Mainoo, Gordon, Branthwaite).I’d pay good money to watch the under 2’s. Do they play on a regular sized pitch?
Harvey Elliot got 2 goals, a regular now for Liverpool and another in the James Maddison mould, the exciting 18 year old Archie Gray also managed an assist, someone to rival Kobee Mainoo at the heart of England's future midfield. Rico Lewis and Nonr Madurke other stand out names in the starting line up, Dortkubds Bynoe-Gittens and Bournemouth's Alex Scott getting minutes from the bench, while Liverpool regular Jarrell Quansah didn't even get off the bench.
England under 20's featured Newcastle pair Lewis Hall and Lewis Miley - in another era they would have been with the under 21's , alongside Liverpool's Bobby Clark, Ireogbunam and our Tom Fellows.
There is so much depth coming through now, there really is very little excuse not to challenge for honours over the next ten years.
Sure I saw in the week the play off final is put back a weekIsn't the Champions League final being played there then?
Fellows assisted England under 20s first 2 goals in a 5-1 win over Poland. Assisted our ex academy player Iroegbunam for the first. Was he stretchered off?
Quite possibly the most knock-kneed professional football player I can remember seeing.I did notice that. Good chance he's never been nutmegged.
They did manage to draw with Southampton and beat Swansea so they're not on the beach yet and winning seems to matter to them. and they might be playing with freedom. The great unknown. A club that has nothing to gain or lose,
Be interesting to see how Fellows gets on against Pring who is highly rated as a LB. The gallery of training on the O.S. showed a photo with CC having a one to one with Ajayi so he might start.
