We decided to send him back.

If we wanted to keep him he would have stayed, all Brighton wanted assurances about was his game time.

From what I read he asked to go back once he knew Ipswich were interested as he felt McKenna a better match for him. CBA finding it though 😂

The club website on January 1st clearly states he was recalled by Brighton ( I just googled it) no team should agree to any loan player being guaranteed  playing time, Dobbin has clearly impressed CC lately as he being given more game time and I'd Fellows continues to struggle  he might find himself in the starting 11.

Do you think Dobbin has been better than Sarmiento was for us?

Don't think I have said that anywhere, Sarmiento won us 1 game at Cardiff always promised lots but no assists tells you a lot about a player, Dobbin has a lot to learn but the last couple of sub appearances have shown a little bit of promise and that he's beginning to understand what Corberan wants from him.

What little bit of promise did you see today?

He carries the ball quite well and got their player booked after beating two other players before being cynically fouled. Like I said he has a lot to learn but his pace can be a good outlet for us if used correctly.

So on that basis you would keep him in January instead of looking for better?

Unless we somehow  manage to get someone to take Wallace/Diangana/ Swift of our wage bill we probably can't afford anyone better as  Villa will be paying a large percentage of his wages, that's also presuming their is a clause to be able to send him back anyway.

And that's why we are in the position we are in and have won one in nine.

Absolutely terrible player.

He can't even make a simple pass and missed the best chance of the game.

Get him out in January.

Send him back.  We complain about Grady\Wallace\Swift but they should be on the pitch ahead of this guy.

No goals and no assists to date . Definitely did not improve the side against Sunderland when he replaced Mikey . That miss from that distance was not acceptable from a Championship player .

Looked to me like he was trying too hard last night, just kept running into 3 Sunderland players with his head down

Wondering whether all's well in the lad's private life. Caught sight of him whilst he was sat on the bench at Sunderland during the first half on TV. He was staring off unblinking into space and didn't seem to be engaging with the game at all. Before the comments fly in no I'm not suggesting the game was utterly dire and he was simply bored so much as his mind appeared to be elsewhere  ;D .

It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

CC said he was impressed with Dobbins first start. All about opinions!

He didn't do too badly on Saturday but has been a disappointment overall so far.

Having had a bust up with Johnston CCs comments are preparing the ground for Dobbin to start on Sunday. In fairness he did more than OK first half running his oppo back on more than one occasion but seemed to get a bit lost when changed wings second half !

He made 19 passes all game.  Only the subs did worse and Maja had the same.  Fellows managed 21, then Grant with 32.

What's this about a bust up with Johnston - must have missed that?

Yes i would agree with this. I don't dislike him as much as some but i have found him underwhelming overall. Would not be sad to see him go.

Sounds interesting, any more info please?
