I’d rather we gambled every time and went for the win. Makes sense on the statistics alone; presuming 50/50 ratio of success and failure.

It's OK to take a calculated risk but you can't build a house on sand, you have to retain the base to build off. If you don't those 50/50 odds will become 40/60.

He’s rubbish. Such a shame that nobody else wants him.

What he can do is use his height and physicality to win duels.  But he's slow. When it looks like he's 'strolling back', that's his natural stride. The other thing is that when he wins his little cameos, the ball just stays in his area of the pitch. He doesn't move it up the pitch.

You don't win games by just throwing on attackers and wrecking the balance of the team. There are strategic ways of going about things.

We didn't have to be desperate to win anyway its a 46 game season and one point was better than none. It wasn't as if we had one game left and we had to win to get into the play offs.

Don't you?

Tell the likes Ferguson that.

Mowbray used to do it too when he was here, the Colchester game being an example.

Maja bangs that chance in and you would've praised cc for his bravery.

Fine margins.

I'm with you on that. If we haven't got the courage to go for the win at home to Huddersfield, then when?
The legitmate question is was Chabolah or Molumby better equipped to do it.

The other question is should we be waiting until we are behind to actually set up to attack them ?

This is it for me. Feels like CC is over compensating for his cautious approach

The starting 11 wasn't exactly defensive; it was just that we a lot of players putting in a poor performance and Huddersfield to their credit were quite progressive, no sign of them trying to play hoof ball and shut up shop. They took the game to us when they could.

Their approach took me by surprise i was expecting them to park the bus given they got thumped last week but they actually played with belief and took the game to us at the right times as you say .

Warnock said in his post match interview that he decided to play two up front. This bold approach paid off for him.

Ferguson never wrecked the balance of the team. He always kept the solid base to play off.

He had a good ten minutes or so in the second half. Let’s be honest, if a good ten minutes or so made him one of our better players it's a sad reflection both on the others and our game plan.

That said it's still a complete mystery to me what our tactics were for the first half in particular. I can only imagine we were hoping Plymouth would knacker themselves out by halftime with that running malarkey  :-X .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Better second half. Credit where credit's due his assist was superb. Very good footwork. Here's hoping for more as an improved Nathaniel Chalobah will hopefully equate to an improved West Bromwich Albion  8) .

He is a top player who has had injuries ravage the middle part of his career.

We have taken a risk with him, it was all about getting him fit, keeping him fit and then seeing the fruits of that.

Think thats starting to happen, if we can keep him injury free then he will get better and better I feel.

Id written him off already i'll admit, but he is proving me wrong and im happy he is

One of the few players in our squad where you see elements of premier league quality shine through, even if it is in inconsistent short bursts (similar to Sarmiento and Diangana)

Keep him fit and he's a perfectly adequate option for where we are at the moment

Fully agree with you Tom, probably my MOTM on Tuesday, either him or Grady.

I hadn’t completely given up on him and was hoping he would bang a couple away to shut the moaners up. I just thought he wasn’t match fit and needed to get up to speed with our game. I will agree that his first few games were awful though

Nice to have Grady back in the room too.
MAGA!

It's amazing what a superb coach can do. Chalobah was milesoff the pace and wasn't enjoying his football. You can see he's worked very hard on his game over preseason and now looks like aa completely different player. As for his outburst towards our cans, I was sitting by the guy it was directed at and let me tell you, that disgrace of a "supporter" deserved it.

I agree he is definately an option alongside Mowatt, especially if the whispers that a deal for Molumby to leave has already been agreed.

Credit where credit's due, he took one in the fact and played very well for a change.
