Sorry, can someone please clarify?

Should the deal go through, whoever the new owner is, part of the deal (reportedly) is the repayment of the loan/s to the club and the creditors. So won't Albion be better off by a significant amount even in the situation where the owners can't just pump £Xm in via different sneaky accountancy methods? We're owed like £12m by Lia and/or Peace aren't we?

I believe only two of the loans Peace/Lai have taken on behalf of the holdings company are owed to the club which is 10 million. The other two million is betwèn the holdings company and a company I can't remember the name of.

The good news is the 10 million can come back into the club, the bad news is most of it will probably get used on wages/debt.

It should certainly help for FFP purposes as those debts have been fully provided for in the accounts

A shame - that would have been the sort of template I felt might have taken the club forward. Hopefully they have some positive sporting experience, but I expect it will be more Birmingham City style.

Given that I haven't got the foggiest idea who they are I haven't got a clue what to expect. I just hope they're better than what we've had and I'm happy to let Blues supporters deal with whatever it turns out they've got.

I hope the new owners care about us and have an excellent plan to take us forward.

I will be glad if there is no Brady type who turns up in his inspector gadget coat and sunglasses in the rain  and his ftxponzi scheme money to get the buzz he longer gets elsewhere as our great club has plenty of its own legends past and present.

That directly contradicts what Alastair has just said on WM. Along the lines of patience required but it is going to happen.

I was put on the spot. I also believe it’s close but I’d never commit to timelines

Could be any American that doesn't own a club in England  that's why it's all done under a NDA. We will know soon enough.

I’ve text my cousin and he’s confirmed it’s definitely not him. He could be lying due to the NDA though

If the poster who claims the deal will land in the next 48 hours also claims the owner of the Chicago Bulls is involved I would take it with a huge pinch of salt as that would seem unlikely but we will know by the end of the week.

He didn't. The Chicago Bulls name was '.....an educated guess......' from another poster based on a different thread with a bulls theme. Apt really as the link to the Bulls has already been discounted on the Takeover thread.

Whatever will be will be as Doris Day would say. I'm quite relaxed about the whole thing to be honest and refuse to get my hopes up given our current ownerships' time proven habit of flinging cow dung into fans. Literally.

I think the truth is no one knows apart from a very select few (not me obviously) and people are guessing.

I do know that things are  progressing very well though.

The thrush, also known as the throstle, is associated with WBA. Apparently a rare one has been spotted in Essex. I believe Droitwich is making a joke that Joe Swash (not Swatch?) is our new owner.

It's just a little joke.
