The other thing to note is that it sometimes take time for a team to gel and for individual players to improve their game. I've seen players who at first sight seemed rubbish, who turned out to be very good players.
Of course not all players will improve, and over a certain age, you can be pretty sure that's as good as they will ever get. However, the younger ones especially, may turn out to be integral parts of a succesfull team if they are taught good habits and they are disciplined enough to work at their game.
So, I'm not against Carlos trying to coach good habits and build a team along with his principles.
