And midfield

I don't think Chalobah has been that bad but he definitely hasn't been good enough to replace Swift.

We are a terribly coached team. The gaps between the midfield and defence are way too big, it’s exactly like watching us under Bilic again. I’m guessing the post match comments will be “we have to use this defeat as motivation to succeed further” whatever that’s supposed to mean.

If this guy is our hope then we are truly in the rubbish.

Blackburn's unintentional MOTM today.

Got it wrong from the start. Made changes too late. Childish behaviour on the sideline.

I'd be angry if i picked that team too pal but you picked it and only you can change it.

Let's stop,  have a think and improve on that for the next game shall we?

Stupid selection and bone headed red card. His worst afternoon in our dugout by some distance.

All of his poor traits were on display at once today. Awful.

Have to agree with this.  After a fantastic start last year where we were pretty much nailed on for a playoff spot we fell away badly.

Some crazily over the top comments on this thread. Shall we sack him then? We can all be wise after  the event. We are one game in. Yes, I thought it was strange to not pick Bartley today. Unlike some, I actually said so before a ball was kicked. Hopefully, he won’t repeat this for next game.

He's just got to be called out when he makes mistakes.  Just like the players are.

Some folks won't have a bad word said against him no matter what rubbish he comes up with. I find it very odd.

Yeah, anyone who watches what’s happening off the ball can see this is not good. Even with the ball, it’s not particularly inventive. He also seems to disregard any kind of technical player (Swift, Diangana etc) in favour of a grafter. Looks like Leeds dodged a bullet.

KN22 you must have  a different memory than me , when it comes to Bartley in an Albion shirt if you really think he is the answer .

Surprised to see hm talk himself into a red card as he's comes across as very disciplined.
Poor starting selection, but he's allowed to get it wrong as long as he does something about it.  I think taking Kipre, Chabolah, and Molumby off did improve things, but he'll have learned a lot today.

Yeah, and some sarcastically call him King for no reason. That’s life. It’s so easy to just sit and criticise from a distance. He will get things right, of that I’m confident. It would of course help if he got a little bit of financial backing but we know that’s not coming any time soon.

We can forgive him today but he’s being paid a small fortune to not make these basic mistakes. The fans and media were bemused by the line up and proved right.

Also any loans need to be at full back, we need some real competition for Lb and Rb.

That's what people say to me if i point something out about him, "The king dont get it wrong" when clearly he does.

It's not acceptable to say he can't be criticised when he gets things wrong. NO ONE is above that.

When he starts getting things right and shows some semblence of a plan, like when he arrived, then i will be on here praising him ( like when he arrived). While he continues to get the basics wrong i will call him out on it. Football teams work best when things are kept simple. Not shuffling people about to try and protect 2 obviously poor selections.

His tantrums on the sideline are thoroughly unprofessional and unwelcome.

He knows he won't be getting financial backing. He has stated that himself and is willing to work within those parameters.

No comments from CC tonight as he is not allowed to carry out post match media duties as was sent off.

The FA have lost their heads with that rule.

Not sure what they want to gain from it as most media outlets would prefer the teams managers to speak i would imagine.

Can't he banned from the dugout for the next game or does that happen anyway?

The only thing that bugs me about corberan is his reluctance to try any of the kids ,let’s face it they can’t be any worse than some of the players that start and on the subs bench

It feels like damage limitation to me. The older players aren’t right and will be removed as contracts end but it will take time. There is a time to bring younger players in and it’s not always quickly and all in one go.

Exactly this. If Taylor had put in the sort of performance Kipre did today everyone would be saying he's not ready, needs loaning out etc.

Senior pros get away with murder.

Some managers just will not give the youth a chance.

CC in an interview within the last week said kids need game time to develop, give them game time then.

Highly illogical to me.
