We are in deep schtuck if he walks, so much for Miles saying CC would be involved in all decisions it sounds like Palmer’s been sold behind his back.

I think the CC involvement is along the lines of "Carlos, we've had a bid so we're accepting it okay?"

He can only damage his reputation if players are just being sold as soon as offers come in and he sees none of that money. He walked away from Huddersfield due to transfer issues..

It depends on what he’s been asked to do. If it’s to mount a serious challenge then we are taking his tools away. I wouldn’t blame him if he walked.

"Asked CC of his frustrations that he's trying to build a team while players are being sold from under him. Accepts that that is how it is for #wba right now.

This is grim reading. If CC walks we go down.

If I was him, I would walk.

There is no way anyone can be expected to work under these conditions when things like this are happening.

He could walk in any morning and someone comes in and tells you " Oh by the way we sold 2 more players last night".

As long as Lai is there this club will do no good. He has no interest in us and he will do anything to get money into the club.

Shame really because I was thinking a couple of days ago we might have a good season but if diabolical acts like this are happening then no way.

He’s got 2.5 years left on his contract, he isnt going to be walking anywhere.

He signed a contract in Dec 2020 at Huddersfield until the Summer of 2024 and walked in July 2022.

If he ain't happy he will walk, hopefully he won't.

Why not? We can't force him to work for us. If he wants to walk because promises made to him are not being fulfilled there is nothing to stop him. He's walked away before when things were not to his wanting.

I would if I were him.

I'm not quite as in love with CC as most of our fans are, I'm a bit more uncertain but I can't help but feel sorry for him. What chance has he got?

Have to say today has caused a big concern.

I am a big fan of CC and think he is our best hope for the season, however i also know from a very very reliable source the plans was always to sell Griffiths and bring in an experienced keeper to compete with Palmer, assuming Palmer leaves that plan has gone.

I know CC has tried to offload two of our current centre halves but to no avail, i dont know who but the fact he wanted two of them gone as well as Griffiths, all of whom will now probably start the season and become regulars for us does not bode well.

I hope i am wrong but if we start the season poorly i expect CC to of walked by the first international break.

He signed a contract knowing full well the extent of our financial issues so it is no good him throwing the toys out the pram. Until there is external investment these are the parameters we’re working within. If he does not like that then he needs to make a decision sharpish.

It’s a shame that we’ll only ever have him as a fire fighter as opposed to someone we could invest in.

I’m always thinking this. We finally got a manager appointment very correct but no time for him to thrive just trying to triumph in adversity instead.

There’s a difference between knowing we were in a mess and being mislead or lied to. We don’t know what he has been told, but yesterdays interview suggested to me he’s not pleased.

Yep, I agree. I'm sure he had a vague idea of how little money we had, but maybe he was misled...ultimately know one knows.

As fans (and not insiders), I think most expected more this summer, even by our own low standards.

I'm struggling to see a scenario where Corberan is still at the club after January (at the latest).

I'm as aware as anyone else as to our financial troubles and I've had no major issue with the sales that the club have made so far. I can understand the money we've received and that we've had to let them go. This one is strange though and I believe that if the figures are anywhere near 2.5 or 3 million quid then for that kind of money he's worth more to us to keep this season as we could be struggling at the wrong end of the table and GK is such an important position. It's only acceptable if they have a good experienced keeper lined up to replace him for less money than we receive. It's gone into serious firesale territory now and has crossed the line from doing sensible deals (if the rumoured figures are to be believed at all). He's worth more to us this season than those figures.

If Corberan doesn't walk off before or soon after the season has started due to transfers like this, it won't be long until other clubs start sacking managers and I'm sure Corberan will be on some of those shortlists. Agents may talk if he is unhappy. If he has a good start to the season then good clubs will come in for him due to how he's performing. If he has a bad start which he will feel is in a large part down to losing important players in a way he doesn't agree with, he'll definitely be wanting out and looking to find another club.

I'm surprised he's still here at all to be honest. The club must have given him the impression that he had some kind of hope going into the season. Looks like they're happy to TOTALLY pull the rug from underneath him now.

All this selling of players away from the so called wishes of CC! only adds to his future pedigree, if he gets a tune out of the remaining players he will be touted by Prem sides..
we have to get real - we are not in a position to stop players being sold, whoever they are!
we need to stop being so negative and get behind the team and not criticising everything that goes wrong after all we could be Reading!!

CC looks and has behaved in the past like a guy of passion and principal. Our owner and board have little or none of those attributes.
I think he will walk as soon as he is seriously challenged by people who he probably sees now as half wits. If he does we are done for.

Has anyone not got behind the team on here? This is a West Brom forum, we support the team and players. At the same time it's still reasonable to question the shoddy ownership...

There are similarities to the dings manager here.

Both, are realising that this isn't what they signed up for.

I think one of the relegated clubs will sack their manager before Xmas and cc will be off.

Whether he goes or not will be decided by one thing. Was he lied to about selling players or was he aware of the situation that we had to sell players to survive as a club. I personally think he was made aware that is was really bad but I think he has been surprised now he is finding out just how bad it is in reality.
