No where near I'm afraid.   Needs to go back out.  Maybe drop a division.

I think he came on for us in the League Cup so can't play for another team if he played any minutes for Walsall

Chasing a goal with five or ten minutes left plus stoppage time, bring him on and let him write his own song. 'Dreams can come true........', there's always time for a bit of Gabrielle  8) .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

how many instances have we seen of players getting a chance through fortuitous circumstances coming good?
Maybe Reyes will be the next?  He has certainly been Jonny on the spot in his formative years.

I don’t see it
I think the pecking order for CF goes as below

Grant
Cole
Wallace/Diangana
Then Cleary

Wallace/Diangana for centre forward role? Just no! I appreciate the paucity of options but truly hope we avoid that one.

Its not my choice
That’s how I think the hierarchy is currently
In fact I’d add loanee in ahead of Cleary

Grant as center forward to be subbed  if necessary with Cleary, especially if we were 2 or 3 up.

No. False nine. In a useful sense preferably.

In no way should Cleary be ahead of subbing on Cole, he couldn't get a kick at a league 2 side. I think injuries have unfortunately played their part with his development but realistically he should be nowhere near our squad currently and probably for his own good he needs to move on and find regular football lower down the pyramid.
Smethwick..

I honestly don’t believe they are up to that role either.

It's unlikely he'll make it here but its not exactly uncommon for players to struggle on their first loan either. It's so different in physicality in league two from anything he'll have been used to. Walsall also had a very, very good strike force for that level so it wasn't really a good loan choice by the club - he was always going to be up against it for minutes with no first team background.

By way of comparison Tom Fellows spent a season being a very unremarkable squad rotation player for one of the very worst teams in League 2, but then was one of our better players the following season.

True ,Liam Delap would be a great example of a few attempted loans to get the player doing what he needed too.

Does anybody seriously think Reyes Cleary is anything over than an extremely average lower league player? Liam Delap? :) are we serious….

Don't see where he was comparing the two players, he was just pointing out that some players need a few loans. Harry Kane is another who had loans before making it at Spurs and no I am not comparing him to either of the two players mentioned previously.

I think none of us know, and given the options available this might be when we do find out,

Can only be back to Walsall unless it’s non-league or abroad (Scotland?)

I guess it could be Walsall on the basis they lost Lowe after Cleary was recalled?

He’s 21 soon. Feel like he’s got to perform incredibly well if he has any chance of a new contract here. If he bombs I’m not sure what level he’ll get a contract at.

I know Hartlepool is far but it’s not classed as foreign ?
