Seen us linked with Jamie Patterson from Swansea , that’s something to look forward to .

He's 32 soon. Pearce is salivating at the idea of signing such an exciting young prospect.

I don’t mind so much that he has gone out on loan but the fact that Bristol City have the option to make the movement permanent is an absolutely shocking decision by the club. What the hell is going on!

The loan with an option to buy really makes no sense. It's a risk free transfer for Bristol City. For players on high wages you can't shift those kind of deals make some degree of sense, but an academy player? He must be the least paid of all our current midfielders, getting him off the wage bill is surely not going to move the needle much.

As Baggies says, its incredibly damning that pretty much the only players we have anyone wants are our academy pros, all the millions spent on fees and wages in the last 5 years and we can't even give most those guys away. Though fair play to the academy who've managed a good through line of talent despite a run of managers who don't really like to use it unless absolutely forced.

Sick to death of the idiots currently running this club .. what was it £2 million for palmer … I think this peaceful protesting has had its day
It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, when you're number one. What you got to have is faith and discipline when you're not a winner.

Makes me smile (cringe) when managers ‘don’t trust’ younger players but are happy for the senior players to be absolute garbage week after week.

Yep. Really grates on me to be honest.

Theres about 43 weeks left until June 30th 2024 (where we have to cover a loan players wages i imagine) so that 700k loan fee (if true) gives us 16k per week to play with. GO GET 'EM TIGER.

We are selling a young promising player to pay the wages of some utterly useless veterans. I was nearly certain we would get here at some point this summer it does not make it anymore palatable.

It is not a strategic choice it is hobson's choice made inevitable by nearly a decades worth of short term fixes, lurching from one ill considered deal to the next.

This deal does not generate much by the way of cash so there isn't a shiny new signing on their way off the back of this anId even if there is I simply don't care.

Criminal.

Why are posters so trying to out-do each other with hysterical language, obviously the transfer is not criminal. TGH has potential, but he isn't Messi or even Lewis O'Brien. As he isn't part of the manager's plans it is the correct decision to move him on. My best guess is that the option for Bristol to buy is mandatory if TGH plays a certain number of games for them.

A loan for 12 months given by the time that expires Carlos won’t be here (alongside others) would have been ideal.

Really disappointed to see the option to buy for such a pitiful amount.

Didn’t we reject £4m from Brighton around 12 months ago?

Good point. the last manager sanctioned the loan but will probably be gone himself at end of season.

It sums the club up for the last few years, paying 40k a week to a horrendous  player like reach and big money to other past there sell by dates players, then we get a rid of a youngster who’s hungry and got potential for pittance ,shambles

The only problem I have with this deal is the price. 2million in this day and age is ridiculous and won’t allow us to get an adequate replacement in other than a loan which will need replacing again this time next season >:(
I hope the lad goes on and does well but there have to be doubts about how far he can go. At 20/21 years of age he should surely be leaving us in no doubt what is his best position but he hasn’t.
There have also been rumours about his attitude, the word often bandied about is trust. That said Pearson is acknowledged as a very good coach so hopefully he can sort what needs sorting

I supported the loan move but an option to buy is a staggering indication of where we are as a club and the total mismanagement of the club and where we are.
I don’t think we are finished being stripped of our decent players yet, over a week to go and anyone could go.

I’m sad to see him go and I’d expect for £2m Bristol City will make it permanent as its potentially a steal. He should be getting time here imo.

I hope to see the lad do well though, he deserves his chance and for him personally wish him well. He’s done the right thing for his own career

I can see some full on meltdowns on the horizon we are in scraping the barrel territory.
I have zero expectation for incoming players and the season ahead .

First I have heard of that, sounds far too good to be true. No way Brighton would have been in for him and anyone offering that sought of cash would have signed him.

But Corberan has “mismanaged” TGH
Terrible that he’s gone, hope he shoves it down our throat.

Unbelievable that they have the option to sign him for £1.3m.

Never given a proper run by a manager who won't be here to spend the massive £1.3m next season.

Posters can't have it both ways if he isn't a loss then he isn't worth more than Bristol City are paying for him in point of fact he's probably worth less.

I recall there being an interest and £4m was the rumoured price on Twitter at the time. I may be over stating it by talking of a rejected bid mind.
