Till the end of the season Brunt and Abella are the only sensible option.
We are not going to get promotion and we’re not going to get relegated plus the attacking football under B & A has markedly improved.  My second vote was for Mowbray but after suffering a serious illness, not sure if he would be the answer.

You're having a laugh if you think Dyche is going to come to the Albion His wages would be too much and he wouldn't want to come to us anyway. As you said we are on a budget without a pot to pee in. Moyes, Potter, Cooper are sadly out of our league right now.
And not available to us anyway for whatever reason so why name them….

‘You score three and we’ll score four!’ was Tony Mowbray’s philosophy when last with us.
Fine if you’ve got the goal-scoring players and creative attacking midfielders in your squad both of which we do not have.
Hopefully, Tony’s CT/MRI scans will come back negative for his bowel cancer and at some point he can return to the work he loves but I’m not totally convinced it should be with West Bromwich Albion FC just yet.

After drawing at Seville 1-1 Valencia now rock bottom of La Liga 4 points from safety.
Will CC be regretting his decision to leave one wonders.

Thrashed by a team that were minnows not so long ago and they are only the also-rans in the Premier League.
God help us if we do get promoted with the only benefit being going to the bank to pay in after our weekly thrashing.  Gulf in class is massive and a pity if Brunty and Co have to finish their stint on this note.

If we could get a decent number 10 in then we are a match for anyone. We are lacking there big time.
And a ‘natural’ goal scoring poacher in the mould of a Kevin Phillips but as we know, they are as rare as rocking horse Man Utd!

If Alex Palmer’s kicking distribution was good, he would not only be with a Premier League club but he would also be a possible contender for England given the dearth of English keepers

With all those available with second tier promotion experience under their belts, it's disappointing that we have gone with someone who hasn't ever managed in England.

A massive risk, which I pray goes well.

Based on what you are saying Balis, it was a massive stroke of luck that in 2016 we did not appoint Pep Guardiola as HC who had never managed in England.
If we had appointed Pep, we might have gone on to become Premier League champions, win the European Cup and many more - perish the thought but we dodged a bullet there!

Speaks better English than me  ;D

Oi think itz grate ay it! Bet ‘e dunna spake Black Countrie though!   😂
One bonus if it is Wicky is that I for one will fully understand what he’s saying unlike the heavily accented Corberan!
I often wondered if all the players fully understood what he was saying.

I'm more than happy with how Bilkul appear to be conducting this whole thing. I know we don't really know what's going on exactly but it just feels like they know what they are doing.

As someone else said, Brunty and Abella have kept things reasonably steady so I'd rather time was taken in getting this right.

Let's see who emerges from the white smoke!!

The whole process is getting boring now….bit like The Apprentice.
As Coseley and others have suggested, leave Brunty’s and Abella in place for the foreseeable future and appoint a new HC when the right man becomes available rather than make the wrong appointment.

It’s amazing how fortunes can turnaround in football.
It wasn’t too many seasons ago that Bournemouth FCwere a total non-entity languishing in the lower leagues and now we are expecting a big loss to them and soundly beaten as posted above. Frightening really.

CC second game is away to Seville this Saturday night.
Seville (beautiful city) are just below midway in La Liga and probably too much for CC’s outfit to handle. After that they face Real Sociedad and Barcelona.  LaLiga 2 beckons for CC !

Urs Fischer is well-known in Germany for taking Union Berlin, up from the 2nd division and into Europa League and then the Champions League. He did well at Union more by scrapping together with good team spirit rather than having many established stars. Its definitely the less glamorous East Berlin club. They then got onto a bad run, which Fischer wasn't able to reverse, so he got the push. He's certainly an interesting one if he's able to communicate with our boys. Just a bit surprising he hasn't worked for over a year or maybe there's a reason.
Could it be that was also on Gardening Leave?

If names have/are been/being added to the list of possibles, should the ones now not available for whatever reason be removed?  Also, as some forum posters have mentioned names that are not on the list ie: Dyche, Abella etc, should they not be included?

We can only hope that it's never an option. Hobson's choice.
Wasn’t aware a Hobson was involved so Brunt and Abella have a clear path until the end of the season.
😜

Given the choice of Dyche or Brunt and Abella, I far rather go for the latter till the end of the season. Dyche would be a big step backwards IMO

I've mentioned it in another topic but we don't allow name calling/made up names on the forum. Just use the person's real name.
Presume that ruling then includes using the word ‘Bomber’ for Tony Brown, ‘King’ for Jeff Astle etc or any similar?

I have reached the stage where I want him gone. His contribution is minimal for someone who saunters around the pitch as if he owns it. He has no affect on the game other than assisting the opposition.
Liam, I would think 90% of people on this forum have also come to the same conclusion as you that Swift contributes virtually nothing these days as does his pal Wallace.  Ship both out ASAP.

Stoke coming through for us again potentially!?

MR.BAGGIES
@MrBaggies

John Swift is of interest to numerous Championship clubs this month. Stoke one of a few that are keen. WBA would be happy to sell at cut price with contract expiring end of season, wages are high. #WBA
Book the taxi for trip up the M6 and put Wallace on the roof rack.

They seem to be inflicted with the same game management ability as afflicted Carlos, throwing away 3 points  and snatching defeat/draw from the jaws of victory. But as an Albion supporter of over 65 years I have seen this many many times before with countless Coaches, (as a witness to the 2-3 defeat to QPR at Wembley it seems we sometimes are totally unable to see a game out regardless who is in charge.) It seems to be a timeless Albion trait, whatever that means.
I would stick with them though  for now as the team seems well capable to beat anyone before substitutions and maybe they will learn from this.
Now that scouse Jonny and Cooper are out of the reckoning I am not convinced that any of the others will do anything remarkable at the moment and maybe the 'devil we know' is the better choice for now.

Interesting account of your Albion support over the years Rob.  I’m assuming the 2-3 loss to QPR involved Chippy Clark and Rodney ‘Plonker’ Marsh?  I was also at Wembley then but cannot recall if substitutions actually existed in those days.

Starting line-up was good with the exception of Wallace who as Gaz says is ‘bust’ and needs moving on this month along with Swift, Diangana, Cole and possibly Bartley if Taylor can fill that place. Then build a better and more reliable bench.

They are going to score if we’re not careful with this pressure

As I suspected
