I think the 3rd candidate is Schumacher

I will be disappointed if it’s Hake. From the outside I cannot see he has anything on his cv that puts him ahead of the other runners. As I’ve already said the fact that he was assistant to somebody that was often criticised for having no visible plan or structure to his teams despite spending millions is very off putting !
I agree with this entirely with comparisons. You also need to factor in squads at different levels of decay or development. Time given to make changes (most owners, and to be fair fans, are not that patient), and different expectations for teams. A win percentage deemed a failure at one club, other clubs can only dream about.
What have you seen in Williams to suggest he should get the gig?
Not sure Williams is the right fit for us, doesn't seem to be that progressive.
His record at Swansea is pretty uninspiring too W9 D6 L10 and a GD of 0. (29 scored and conceded).
Obviously, I'll get behind him, should he become head coach, but it just seems so uninspiring.
I would imagine it would be the bonus which would be the big appeal and he would only get that if we went up.
I can see the logic in somebody like Moyes but not sure its the route i would go for.
I have been told this morning from a very good source (not with the Albion i should add) that we are very interested in David Moyes.
Supposedly the thinking is we cant do an overhaul of the squad yet and whilst we still are in the playoff mix there is no point changing the playing style and Moyes fits the current approach of organised, etc and has experience (though not sure he has ever won promotion) he is viewed as a calm head and should we go up, he would be one of better options of keeping us there.
It would be a deal until the end of the season with him on a big salary and high bonus incentive and then reviewed when we know where we are, he is supposedly open for a chat with us but whether it comes to anything, who knows!
Of course it may come to nothing but it seems we will be going for a steady approach this appointment with the club overhauling the squad in the summer, had we been bottom half or midtable then a left field appointment would of been likely but from the criteria we are looking for, it seems we really want to go for playoffs.
If a real standout left field / foreign coach does impress then we would take them but it would seem we are looking at safer options rather than a risk for now.
Unfortunately I don’t think that’s realistic. The nature of football management is that neither manager nor club is willing to build something together unless instant positive results are maintained for season after season. Carlos has done an excellent job and it’s the closest we’ve come to having a settled management team for years. His departure means we are more than likely to cycle through manager after manager now.
I’ve been impressed with the new owners, albeit things have gone a little quiet recently, but this will be a big moment for them. Can they bring someone in who understand the position of the club yet is willing to build.
