Season Tickets 2020-2021
« on: February 07, 2020, 04:42:34 PM »
https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2020/february/earlybird-offer-coming-soon/

Prices out next Friday.

Be interesting what they do, if they raise them hoping we go up, then will be a hard sell come June and July if we don't go up as cannot reduce them then.

Probably have to renew before the end of March to get the discount, so we won't know what division we'll be in

Ssshhhhhhh........ don't give them any ideas. As an aside I genuinely thought they were going to go for the year round subscription based model when Goodman and Williams were here.

I hope they give us until at least April, it is a lot of money, especially for those with big families.

Like many others I was a bit surprised just how early the notification about renewals is becoming and agree as a minimum they really should give people at least till 1 April (and ideally later).

With the latest news that the EFL have postponed football further to 30th April, i would assume WBA will communicate shortly with the fans in regards to the initial deadline of 17th April for 2020-21 season tickets?

i would hope that an extension would be in place with many fans now being forced to self-isolate or take days off due to shutdowns and only receive statutory sick pay therefore resulting in people being able to financially commit to a season ticket before the initial deadline?

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

i emailed the ticket office yesterday and had a reply this morning which basically said until the club decide something different then the deadline of 17th April still applies.

This can go two ways. Either the club give us more time to buy the season ticket. OR the club feel like the extra money from the sales will be useful for them whilst they arent getting the matchday money in.

With the very greatest of respect to the club, the extra money will be better spent on food for my family whilst we're not getting any money coming in either. I'm more than confident the club's and players finances are in a far healthier state than my own. The early bird offer should be extended.

Also, not sure they should be selling an item that looks more and more unlikely to happen.

lets hope common sense prevails and we hear something next week from the club.

even extending it by a month to 17th May would ease pressure/worries from some fans and still be 2 weeks after the football is supposedly going to resume.

Fingers crossed.

Let’s face it renewals are going to take a massive hit now . People don’t know whether their going to have a job . A season ticket is going to be way way down on everyone’s list of priorities

From official website....

Hawthorns closed...

"The Early Bird season ticket deadline has been suspended until further notice. If or when the deadline is reintroduced the Club will ensure there is at least four weeks notice given until the revised renewal date."

That’s good news from the Club. This will be difficult because whenever football resumes, the risk of contracting the virus will still remain, especially for those of us of a certain age! The advice may well be for continued social distancing well past the resumption of football. The difficulties will remain well into next year, until a vaccine is available. Stay safe, everyone.

Will they even bother putting season tickets on sale.

I would imagine a majority of existing holders didn't even renew because the date was pulled.  Will they even have the option to renew.

I renewed mine before lockdown.  Going to be interesting how they work it out if it is a reduced capacity on crowds returning.
