Not sure what benefit this signing is ignoring the age factor. How many weeks will it take to get him match fit, we could be talking well into April.

One also has to look at the previous owner's involvement or motive in this sorry saga which has been speculated on, who possibly saw Lai coming a mile away and took maximum advantage of. As for Lai, I have never understood what he ever wanted from owning us. I previously read of him wanting to buy up adjacent land to build an eco-village but not sure if this was ever true. He did probably subsequently realise that he had paid well over the odds for us and that could have affected his investment in the club.

As for the potential new owner, I hope he can attract more support from the local Indian community to add to our fan base.

My second attended game this season, I live in Ipswich.

I thought the travelling Albion fans were brilliant today despite the early kick-off and being on Sky plus not being an easy ground to reach from the Midlands.

We started well for the first 30 minutes or so but Ipswich were more dominant after that so a fair result. Gutted we couldn't hold out during time added on but their equalising goal was coming.

OK was great today in his natural position until CC switched him to defence after losing Bartley which was a key moment in my opinion. It was very noticeable how knackered the players looked in the final minutes, especially Wallace.

Was at the game as I live in Ipswich. He was quite close to us when collapsing to the ground and he was clearly holding his knee so I fear another similar long-term knee injury for him. It was heart-breaking to see him on the back of the buggy in tears. The fans chanted his name in support but I can't help but fear his professional career is close to being over.

I'll be on the official coach so not there particularly early but any advice on pubs for away fans near the ground or even any kind of fanzone at the ground?

Hi,

There is a Fanzone located by Magnus Group West Stand on Sir Alf Ramsey Way. This stand is opposite to where away fans sit in the Cobbold Stand.

As for pubs, the official one for away fans is the Station Hotel, opposite the train station. It is a very comfortable 5 minute walk to the stadium.

I live in Ipswich so if anyone attending the game wants some local info then feel free to ask.

Another example is the ITV commentator yesterday describing the scenes being as bad as seen in the worst of 1970s football, a comment way over the mark.

Never looked like scoring to be honest with these slow build-ups.

For those that watch regularly, what does Mowatt contribute to the team as most of the time he seems to opt for a sideways or backwards pass.

Very pleased with this news and that a greedy agent didn't influence his decision.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Mods, please feel free to move if appropriate.

Just read of an evening with Zoltan at Whitnash Sports and Social Club, Leamington Spa on 1st Feb organised by Warwick Baggies.

I would think many baggies would like to attend as Zoltan was and remains a legend for many of us including me. Unfortunately, too far away for me to attend.

After his performance today I do hope CC gives him more opportunities in the Championship. An exciting player and clearly MOM for me.

Enjoy the game today mate, hope you have a wonderful day

Thanks. Well that made my day!! The result of course and a reasonable performance in the second half but it was a real buzz seeing all the Albion fans travelling before and after the game plus of course at the ground. After the match we went to the club shop to kill time whilst waiting for the queues at The Hawthorns station to reduce. I caught some of the players coming out to meet the fans despite the rain and was particularly impressed with Kipre's attitude and enthusiasm to please as well as Asante.

I got decent seats in block G2 and row UU, the view was excellent.

I don't think I will be waiting another 30+ years to visit the Hawthorns again, that is a certainty!

Yes you can. The checks aren't random though, if you have a bag it will be checked (might not be a thorough check though.)

Thanks Hull. No problem being subjected to an automatic check.

Hi again.

Just one final question. Are you able to take small bags into the stadium (subject to random checks possibly?)?

There are certain valuables such as tablet that I don't wish to leave in the hotel room which is the reason for my question.

Block F2 will probably be your best bet mate. I doubt you'll get any closer to the halfway line than there. The view there is very good though. If I were you I'd be getting them as soon as is possible because the seats will probably be snapped up quite quickly.

Failing that you can always go in the West Stand like me. We're not too boisterous in there. Be careful not to wake us up though.  ;)

I managed to get 2 seats together in Block G2 quite high up. Hope the view is OK.

A couple of questions. I joined as a non-paying member and was required to upload a photo in order to view what was available and make a selection. Would I be correct that the other ticket for my wife doesn't require her photo to be uploaded as a member too?

The second question is what is the process these days entering the ground. I have ordered paper tickets to be posted. I am guessing that with technological advances the tickets will have some kind of barcode or similar to scan and gain entry, is that correct?

Hi again,

I'm struggling to figure out the best way to get to the Hawthorns. We'll be staying close to Stourbridge Town train station at Premier Inn. I had thought the tram ran to Stourbridge but it appears not.

Any suggestions on the best route using public transport.

I think I have answered my own question now! It looks like regular and frequent trains run from Stourbridge Junction and stop at The Hawthorns. Is that right? I previously thought it was just a tram stop.

Bangkokbaggie. One thing to consider before sitting in the West Stand is legroom. There isn't any. It's very cramped.

I'll be fine at just 5' 7"!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Looks like East stand then and top tier around the half-way line.

I along with wife and sister are planning to buy tickets for the Hull game next month as we will be in the area then. This, can you believe, will be my first home game in attendance since I think the 1980s.

Can you recommend the best areas for seats in terms of views and the stand with the least boisterous fans.

Why is it multiple managers haven't trusted our youngsters? It's no wonder they want to jump ship. Are they not as good as we might believe, or are our managers frightened to use them?

That's something I and probably many others have noticed. It could be a combination of reasons such as the academy is not as good as it is painted, players move on either when they realise they won't make it/get selected or one of the bigger clubs snaps up our most promising players, successive managers have a general aversion to playing youngsters or even senior players have too much influence (the clique as some have labelled).

Just watched the highlights and that second goal was atrocious from us.

Based purely on entertainment, my choices would be Atkinson, Ardiles and Mowbray.

Wasn't sure were to post.

Ron appeared on Farage GB News tonight and during the conversation he mentioned us 2 or 3 times and unsurprisingly said that our great team of 79-81 was better than the Man U team he left us for.

I think the Oldham moment will always be my most treasured memory as a lifetime Bsggie. Youngsters.....just watch it on YouTube.

Yes I was there too on that day and the best Albion memory for me ever, including the motorway journey up and back with so many baggies passing en-route.

Totally agree, Bomber does not get enough recognition from the club that he deserves and in my lifetime has to have been the most important player for the club.
