Ah sickening, it raises the benchmark higher for stupid contracts now. Financial Fair Play? My backside, there should be a wage cap, simple as. Those who don't like, jog on!!!

There will have to be a wage cap eventually. Seeing as wages are on an exponential curve now, and have been since the start of the PL, one day the limit will be reached and the bubble will burst. Nothing ever grows to infinity.

Let's all hope we have somebody sane like JP in charge the day the whole thing collapses.  Say what you want about him but as long as he keeps the club in the black we are golden in relative terms to other clubs built on cheap money bubbles.

Wages for the big clubs will never be an issue as long as they can loan players out and get a loan fee so I would introduce this rule.

You can only lend two over 20 year olds from your club per season.  If, like Chelsea, you want to buy every young player under the sun and then get a loan fee and get the other club to pay their wages, you can - but only twice. Lukaku will have cost Chelsea very little after this season in the initial fee - and its not like they are paying his wages either.

So now more 70 man squads with 30 out on loan, again Chelsea.  If you want to gazump clubs and pay £50,000 a week for Belgium teenager then you have to develop and finance him yourself.  Might stop young players just going to big clubs if they actually want to play football and develop.

eesh I hope Liverpool get complacent after tonight's result - their pace on the break is a bit frightening.

Tomorrows game only gets bigger. If we did win, and all the superstitious rituals are firmly in place tonight, it could be massive. 10th, 7 teams between us and bottom 3. Come on you baggies, we can do it!!

If people are worried about playing a high line against his moms a whore then I wouldn't bother going the Shrine on Sunday. Liverpool are truly a frightening prospect to a team like ours akin to Man City.

Liverpool have pace up front and not only one fast guy but three or four very mobile players. Watching teams like that only highlights how much we lack pace and mobility in our side. Fortunately Liverpool are pretty weak in other areas. The trick against Liverpool, as AV showed, is to play counter attack football against them, instead of them against you, then they suddenly look ordinary. You have to be able to adapt against your opponents.

Easier said than done as the home side with a new manager that likes to press high and dominate possession mate.

To be fair to Long all the reviews I've read have said his heel was clipped and probably should have been a penalty. Apparently he missed an easy header though!!

Yeah, loan one of our few strikers out, great idea.  :-\

Lukaku is only out for a few weeks instead of months.

Big game at the Stadium of light tonight, cant see anything other than a Chelsea win tonight. Tottenham v Man City could be interesting to I have a feeling Spurs may get a result tonight. Much needed win for Swansea last night, I really thought Everton would have done better in the Derby too.

Starting to get bored of Man City thrashing Everyone now. A big win for Sunderland which really puts Stoke in it now, at least we can enjoy Stoke losing. West Ham also getting a very good point away at Chelsea, more evidence that Chelsea badly need another striker.

Extremely worrying the signings our rivals have made, significant strengthening of a lot of them, some very good signings being made. Fulham in particular to get Holtby and Kvist on loan have done extremely well, and potentially Mitroglou who's an excellent striker, they won't go down now.

West Ham too, Noccerino and Boriello, Italian internationals, should get them out of trouble.

Palace making significant improvements.

Sunderland made some Argentinian signings which are hard to judge.

Cardiff have Zaha who could be an excellent signing, Fabio's a good full back too.

Plenty of time left for good signings too.
