This is the problem.

With Wolves, you can see a plan has been put in place and has taken shape over a long time, meaning they've gotten better over time.

At Villa, they've backed a manager who isn't the biggest of names, who some wouldn't have wanted here, but he's targeted good players, worked with them on tactics and a style of play, and now it's coming together at just the right time.

We have no long term plan, at all. It's just short term thinking, as it has been from the second Dan Ashworth left the building.

We have no style of play. Other teams have a style, a game plan that you can see; we have a caretaker who is essentially a youth coach. And the targets for the position of head coach were all over the place, with different styles of football, different expectations, etc.

Until we have a long term plan and a way forward, the current malaise will continue.

That's clearly not what has happened. Grealish came back from injury, nothing more.

There is a football god after all, we need for him to hangabout for another 30+ minutes (plus pens of course if necessary) to see the job out  :D

Aye, seemed insane, that. Saiss in midfield is no Neves.

Come on Watford.

Grealish is vastly overrated. If they sell him they could replace him with a better player for half the price.

The only thing he offers is his dives win free-kicks and penalties.

I refuse to watch the game. Just checked to see the final score on my footie app in time to see it change to 2-2. 😁

They've won nearly every game he's played under Smith, while failing to win the majority of the ones he hasn't uuder him. By miles the best player in the division, and the sole reason for Villa's relative success this year.

Anyway, back to the semi, the game has gone very flat. Playing out time for penalties perhaps?

can't watch it, cannot think of a worse thing than having them in a cup final, never wished so much for another team to score than I do now for Watford.
