Think Next weekend is a huge one for all the teams down the bottom. A Wigan win tonight (and I think they'll get one) would make it all so tight.

Villa have probably the hardest game of anyone at the weekend with Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich all having winnable games. Still think it will all go right down to the final day with Villa needing something at Wigan. Think Sunderland, Newcastle and Norwich are all in worse trouble though with some very tough final day fixtures. Spurs, Arsenal and Man City for those 3 are very tough final day games.

Rafa has all but confirmed the return of Jose to Chelsea next season, personally I like the man and I look forward to seeing him strut his stuff again.

I have just done the bbc predictor (again) , we need to throw it versus Norwich and by my reckoning villa drop on goal diff.
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

So you've either got Arsenal losing to Wigan or Wigan beating villa on the last day?

Right on the stroke of half time too. If it stays like this the relegation battle is far from over.

Baggies: Norwich and Man Utd

Swans: Man Utd and Fulham

Not much difference really.....every chance id say

Swans:

Man U away.... OK not likely a result for them there
Fulham at home.... that is the Fulham which currently sit safe on 40 pts and look much like us and on the Beach already.

= 3 points

Baggies:

Norwich away.... the Canaries are up to their eyeballs in relegation worries, much like Wigan last Saturday, they will just want it more than us.
Man U at home..... Do you really expect us to get a result, even against a "celebrating" Man Utd squad?

= 0 points

But you are correct in that anything could still happen but I'm not going to hold my breath ;)

IF we don't finish 8th it will feel like a let down, even though in the big scheme of things a 9th place finish would still be an improvement on last season.

For the record I think we'll do it.

Anybody watching the Chelsea game ? Currently 2-1 Chelsea, Adebayor with a quality goal though! Would love if Spurs didn't get Champs league...

Really nice goal from Sigurdsson to level it up for Spurs, the game has really opened up now and could be in for an exciting finish.

Finished 2-2 in the end. A result which would suit Chelsea rather than Tottenham who pretty much have to win their remaining games if they're to have any hope of achieving Champions League football. From a personal point of view, the Premier League is incredibly stale to watch the same teams achieving CL football and I would like to an outsider disrupt the status quo and get themselves a shot in the CL. They were a breath of fresh air in the competition a few years ago under Harry Redknapp and I still think they're quite an entertaining team too watch. If they do miss out then the summer will be equally important for them as several new additions will be needed to enhance the squad, particularly the forward areas as well as left back position because I'm not keen on Assou-Ekotto.

If I was an Everton fan i'd be worried now looking at some of the names being linked. Martinez, Hughes, O'Neill, Lennon.

Agree with all except Martinez.
Even Cillit would have banged that one in..

With Ramires getting sent off just before half time for picking up two bookings you have to assume that Villa have just secured their safety in the league the *****!

Villa 1 Chelsea 0 Benteke

How bad had the ref been for this game?

How he missed that throw in ill never no!

From my count benteke should be off and could argue villa have had the luck that first half.

I reckon benteke will get sent off second half.

If Villa win this game and their last and we don't get anymore points, they could finish only 2 points below us!!  :o
I've got those West Bromwich Blues!
