Thought that was a superb game of fast attacking football from both sides. In the end, Arsenal's defensive frailties were once again on show. The two goals they have given away are both basic to the extreme. Whenever I've played football, I've always been taught to not try and play offside when there is no pressure on the ball (I was never comfortable playing offside anyway). Yet the Arsenal back line for both goals continued to try and play offside with little pressure on the ball and on both occasions were caught out.
The second goal I thought was a joke to be honest. Nacho Monreal can see that Thomas Vermaelen is a yard or two in-front of him yet still tries to play Aaron Lennon offside. The lack of leadership and communication in the back four is scary.
Arsenal came into a lot more in the second half but Spurs held on to record a 2-1 victory.
