Quote...."He has never been there before, so wouldn’t it be something if John Terry, under his captaincy could lead Aston Villa back into the Promised Land?"

Captain?
So what happens when they disappear to division one?
One can only hope.

Well, except for the six games he spent on loan with Nottingham Forest.........

Probably one of the worst signing announcements I've ever seen. So cringey

Jesus christ. Although Gabby and Jack Grealish would struggle to string a sentence together let alone use correct punctuation, spelling and grammar so rest assured it's fake.

I thought it was a spoof. Blimey. That could compete with The Daily Mash.

I didn't think John Terry could look like any more of a knob, and then I saw him in a Villa shirt.

He only signed for Villa because he didn't want to play in the Premiership against Chelsea. No danger of that with them.

I dont believe that he joined Villa because he didnt want to play against Chelsea at all. He has gone to Villa because they are paying him a stupid sum of money for a championship club and installed a 2 million pound promotion bonus which obviously he cant get with a premier league club. I also have to question in his own ability when he has turned down three premier league clubs in order to move down to the Championship. A coward and a wan**r he suits them perfectly.

Make or break for Villa this season. If they don't go up they can expect a long stay in the Championship waiting room.

I seriously think so. Too big for their billy boots yet again. They are the most hated club by many opposition supporters. Arrogance doesn't get you anywhere

Totally correct Glyn, they are so big headed is it unbelievable,  one Seal said last night they would win the championship by a good 10 point margin just because they have bought old JT.

I couldn't help myself and sang to him in a quite voice Daydream Believer and a s!!t football team.

Crikey.

A Viler I worked with thought Samba was dog sh it when he was in the Prem' with Blackburn.

He's not going to be overly happy about this one  :P  :P .

18 pages on him over on Villa Talk.

The Viler view of Samba when he was linked to them in February to now he has signed is somewhat revised.

They've gone from 'Bruce Out!' and 'Another utterly pooh centre half to add to our collection' to 'solid signing for this level'.

Brilliant I would laugh myself hoarse if I didn't know we would have signed Terry given the chance.

But we were given the chance, allegedly, and we didn't take it as proved.

If Villa fans ever call us tinpot again:

https://static.sportskeeda.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/terry-cropped_fhutzpr594x617e8xy8rwgecy-800.jpg They won this trophy in pre-season.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DFcNicgW0AUGYhA.jpg:large You can buy it here.

Thought I'd posted this earlier, but the Vile are in good company.

Beaumont Town U6's won the exact same trophy  ;D .
