I'm quite impressed and surprised by RDM and Villa's transfer dealings, good signings for the forth coming season, think they will be there or there abouts, unfortunately.

Villa are a big club. They have the pulling power and players will play for RDM/Clarke. We played some great stuff under RDM and I think the Villa will do the same. They will probably outspend us this summer too.  :(

I dont understand there sudden obsession with how special, great and loyal their support is?! Where has this myth come from?!

Every time i see a Villa fan the last few months its been how great the support is, at the moment its 'we got 34,000 v Rotherham, we got 33,000 v Huddersfield'

So they should, they are the biggest club in the Midlands, its a new season, fresh optimism, they are one of the big attractions in that league, they are playing teams they havent played for years, they are expected to win games (unlike previous years) so if they are as great as they think they why are there are still 10,000 empty seats there?!

Where was this 'great' support when they were in the s**t last season and getting less than 30,000? Where was these loyal fans then?

In all fairness they do always sell their away allocation but the way they have been harping on about how great their support is you would think they are something special, yet they are the same as most clubs, lose a few fans, gain a few fans yet other clubs dont keep banging on about it!

Completely agree.

Even the Villa police are at it...

Well done Villa fans, youve sold 81% of seats in your stadium, well done.
Huge club.

Funny thing is, most clubs in that league will take a full allocation at Villa park, easy to get to and won't have done it for a while. Thus take 3,000 off that figure every time for a true reflection of home fans.

So in reality, 32,000 home fans opposed to the 23,000ish we get.

For a much 'bigger club' which such a 'great history' it's sh*te.

They out spent us last summer. By £50m. And then got relegated. And now have one win in three against championship opponents.

Money spent means sod all.

Naarwich
Geordies
Brighton
QPR
Derby
Cardiff
Wigan

its a strong league they will do very well to make the playoffs IMO

Cardiff will be lucky to stay up. Trollope will be the first manager to get sacked. Villa have a great spine about them now, Jedinak's a quality signing. Bristol City could be outsiders.

Lescott to Glasgow Rangers.

No fee involved and they'll be covering part of his wages too.

Agent Lescott still on active operations! ;D

More costly to Villa than agent Curtis Davies.

Vile could be on the verge of completing their seventh summer signing after Ravel Morrison was left out of the Lazio squad for their opening game of the season.
