Absolutely love what's happening at Villa. Couldn't happen to a nicer set of fans.

The rubbish they're coming out with surpasses the stuff they've come out with in the past. They genuinely believe that if/when they go down they will be the big boys and that they will be promoted undefeated.

I think if/when they do go down, they're all in for a massive shock.

As a side, I heard the other week that the catering contracts have all be downsized for next season, and there is even talk of shutting the upper tiers in the trinity and doug ellis for the season.

Panic over for Villa, General Krulak reckons the spirit of the US Marines will save them -

Aston Villa can avoid Premier League relegation 'by channeling spirit of the US Marines'

General Krulak actually makes Joey Barton sound like the voice of reason but in fairness to Joey he knows a shambles when he sees one being the veteran of not one but two relegation campaigns with QPR.  ;D

No good them buying Berahino then. He would starve without his Big Macs and Greggs' pasties.
He would have to go to downtown Witton for a kebab and stuff.

Leeds, QPR and Derby all want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

Going to his level?
(Ahead of the rest?)  ;D

I know there are growing concerns regarding his 'down time', but I think Grealish will come good.

Despite the obvious similarities I don't think he'll go on to be another Lee Hendrie.

Time will tell though.

Hope he does f(k all against us if he's still with them come Jan 23rd mind  ;).

It seems like to me they are trying very hard to get players off the wage bill already.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them offer every single player to other clubs.  ;D

That wouldn't be the same Jack Grealish that was going to be the best English midfielder of his generation only 8 months ago after 1 performance against Liverpool??? Thought he was going to single handedly save English football according to some pundits! The new improved Gerrard!

I'm not sure he is a Pulis type striker/target man, I did think he might be worth trying for a couple of weeks ago, but I think Pulis wants a target man type and quick players to join him long term.

When Villa go down there isn't going to be many players worth picking up but in a lot of cases with the relegated teams I'm never quite sure whether some of the players are poor or just look bad in a team that is an utter shambles. Gestade for instance is easily written off as a flop but he's only played fitfully and seldom in a team that has played to his strengths.

Totally agree. Gestede has scored the same number of goals that Rondon has. A number of our players have been relegated in the past but doesn't make them bad. I still think Lescott would have formed a great partnership with Evans yet he looks poor at the Vile.

Behave, Lescotts finished at this level. Those with eyes could see it when he was here.

I think that is a little harsh, he made the odd error last year but overall he was decent, however, we let him move on at exactly the right time.

Gestede has been found out to be criminally one dimensional at this level, his all round game is atrocious. Let's not re-write history.
