~£30 million for Benteke. For that amount they can definitely replace his goals

I was hoping they would end up losing him on deadline day and have no time to do any deals.

Bringing in Hendrik Almstadt to work alongside chief exec Tom Fox and their current head scout is a very interesting move. They really seem to be getting some structure now after years of just bumbling along.

For that amount I would expect a cheeky bid of £25 million from them for Berahino...

And we shouldn't sell to them UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Would be close to the end for many.

I would be really upset if we sold him to anyone he was a real joy to watch at times last season. However I do enjoy the Birmingham Mail trolling the Villa fans by linking them to Adebayor on £100k a week as a replacement.

An 'interesting' yet very unwanted twist would be if they came in for Saido as Benteke's replacement, especially as Saido's current contract is still under negotiation.

Different types of player I know, but then the Vile may be looking to change their style of play.... just saying.

As previously stated...
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.
Oh, and always remember to defecate on those Vile chaps in claret and spew.

They will generate a hell of a lot of money to rebuild their squad. Pity we don't have anyone other than Saido worth anything as it's the only way we could finance decent signings.

All the more reason we cannot under any circumstances sell berahino although I must admit it would be a whole new level of disappointment if it was to villa.

I predict a riot !

Is there any precedent, Have we ever sold our prized asset to the Vile? I can't think of one example.

Not worth contemplating I can't imagine in million years the club would do that.

Looking at some of the comments on Twitter, it seems his missus is also having a baby and they live up north somewhere, so it's by no means a certainty. You're probably right.

BBC Sport can confirm Fabian Delph's £8m move from Aston Villa to Manchester City is back on and the 25-year-old England midfielder is currently undergoing a medical.
