I don't mind some of the presenters on Talk Sport. Collymore very rattled tonight, open top bus parade around Sandwell. Without Benteke they look more of a one man team each week.

are they safe though? 3 games left, can only see them picking up points against hull at home. will be a lot of bad atmosphere and pressure. lose that and its in the other teams hands whether Vila will go down!

Even if they don't get any points from their games, they would go down only if at least two of the following happened:
  • Norwich get four points from Arsenal home and Chelsea away -- very unlikely
  • Fulham win both Crystal Palace home and Stoke away -- very unlikely
  • Cardiff get two wins from Chelsea home, Newcastle away, and Sunderland away -- very unlikely
  • Sunderland get six points from Cardiff home, Swansea home, Albion home, and Manchester United away -- possible
Can't see it happening, unfortunately.

I think Sunderland will get 6 points, and the most likely of the other 3 is Fulham winning their remaining too, although that is unlikely.

They will stay up but only just. I do think that Paul Lambert will be gone in the summer though. With the form that Long and Jelavic have shown next week will be really tough then I see them getting beat at both Man City and Tottenham.

They won't go down simply because they're one of the jammiest teams around.

Personally though if they went down I do think it would end up being a good thing for them, a bit like Newcastle a few years ago.

They'll scrape safety, new owners will come in spend some money and they'll finish top 8 next few years and then the whole circle of events will start again.

As I say luckiest team around.

They'll probably end up getting Moyes in the summer too.

Key thing for me is that we finish above them which I think we will do.  Also I am not optimistic for the Villa next year either.  Lots of uncertainty as to who the new owners will be and what they will do with the club... We shall see. If only we had not gifted them four points the end of their season might look very different.

Can't see it but hope they go down, good riddance for a couple of seasons at least.

Hopefully by the time they get back up Abby a bog galore will be retired. I hate that kn*b.

The worst thing about them staying up is the fact that despite twice being 2-0 up against them they've took 4 points of us, those two games would have made us comfy and them having more of a squeaky bum time.

Anyone else see that dopey seal **** giving it the bigun when Shelvey shoots, thinking it's going over? Loved to have seen his face when the ball planted itself in the top corner.

Ah bless. They do get agitated about the Albion don't they? You'd almost think they were worried about their position as the top West Midland side going to someone else. You know, like someone that finishes above them, season in, season out.

Hahahahahahahaha.

Excellent. I can imagine it now, the final game lap of dishonour has come and gone, Benteke has slapped in a transfer request and there, blinking back the tears in an almost empty stadium, is Collymoore sobbing into the Talksport microphone after their last game in the Prem for a year or two...."Weem still the top club, we'll always have Rotterdam...."

It is hilarious though that despite finishing above them in the last two seasons by punching above our weight, even during this dreadful season we are better than them.

bottom of the form table currently having taken 1 point from the last 6 games.

If ever there is a time for them to have squeaky bums now is that time.

I hope Fulham and Norwich get the points to put these down

Even a seal has to run out of luck eventually  ;D

What a great end to a otherwise disappointing season (the arrival of the great Pepe aside) that would be.

Blooming hilarious.
